Three industry leaders. Twelve studios. One creative hub. Make a Mark brings together three reference names in premium packaging, ESTAL in glass, Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials in labels and LEONHARD KURZ in embellishment. Every year we invite twelve of the world's best design studios to create with one open brief and total freedom. No client constraints. No fixed direction. Just glass, label and embellishment pushed as far as imagination allows, across wine, spirits, beauty, home fragrance and gourmet. Together they form one creative hub. A place to find inspiration, follow where packaging design is heading, and see what studios create when nothing holds them back. Give a great agency nothing to lose, and watch what happens. No brief that boxes them in. No formula to follow. Just glass, labels, embellishment and permission to see how far an idea can actually go. That's the deal behind Make a Mark: creativity unleashed, talent put center stage, fear left at the door, and the expected left far behind. A packaging-innovation project by @Estal, @Avery Dennison and @LEONHARD KURZ, giving the world's best design agencies one open brief and total freedom across Wine, Spirits, Beauty, Home Fragrance and Gourmet Food. Where Time Turns to Gold and the Earth Breathes in Every Drop. Founded by Argentine siblings Luis and Daniela Piano, @PianoYPiano brings over three decades of creative experience to the wine and spirits sector. Their contribution to Make a Mark is a tribute to grappa as an expression of nature, time, and transformation: Ô de Vie celebrates the elements that shape the spirit, water, earth, heat, and above all, time. The crystalline glass bottle is etched with concentric ripples, inspired by the moment a drop meets water. A metaphor for distillation. For patience. For process. At the heart sits a gilded Ô, more than typography. A symbol of balance and essence. The language of intention. Creating a design where every material carries symbolic weight required collaboration with artisans who understand narrative materiality: The Bottle of Clarity: @Estal engineered a custom 500ml bottle in transparent glass, worked with a subtle wave relief that speaks to purity and natural movement — timeless and elemental. The Earthen Canvas: @Avery Dennison provided Fasson® Cotton Touch Craft, Cotton Black, Velvet Black, and Silver Foil Emboss Plus, creating textured, mineral-like surfaces with natural fiber that connects directly to the grappa's artisanal roots. The Sacred Metallics: @Kurz applied three LUXOR® foils (347, 398, 427) plus ALUFIN®, using copper for the still, gold for the sacred, and silver for purity as narrative tools, not decoration. Working with winemaker François Massoc, Piano & Piano ensured the design honored the grappa's essence through precise hot stamping, micro-embossing, blind embossing, and silkscreen. The overall palette remains neutral and essential, reinforcing a philosophy where beauty emerges through meaning, not volume. Every detail breathes with intention.
