About us
LUGPA is a trade association that represents independent urology group practices in the U.S., with more than 2,200 physicians who make up more than 25 percent of the nation’s practicing urologists, and provide more than 30 percent of the total urologic care in the U.S. The association is committed to providing the best resources and information for its member practices through advocacy, research, data collection and benchmarking efforts. LUGPA advocates for independent urology practices by promoting quality clinical outcomes, fostering new opportunities and improving advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas.

Last call to nominate a rising star for LUGPA’s Trailblazer Award. LUGPA created this award to recognize physicians and administrators in their first decade of practice who are helping transform urology through innovation, stronger patient care, and organizational excellence. If someone in your LUGPA group is making a meaningful impact, now is the time to put their name forward. Eligible nominees must be physicians or administrators in practice for 2 to 10 years and affiliated with a LUGPA group. Self-nominations are not permitted. To nominate a candidate, please submit a cover letter from the group explaining its support for the nominee, along with the nominee’s current curriculum vitae.
