In May 2025, a container ship's GPS suddenly showed it hundreds of miles off. The crew didn't know until it ran aground in the Red Sea. The MSC Antonia's grounding cost millions and took over five weeks to repair, and it wasn't isolated. GPS spoofing has surged across the Red Sea, the Baltic, and the Strait of Hormuz, sometimes displacing hundreds of ships at once, without warning. Iridium PNT was built for exactly this. Its signal is 1,000 times stronger than GPS, reliable at sea, indoors, and in dense cities where GPS struggles. Sixty six satellites, cross-linked into one global mesh network, and authenticated, something GPS was never built to be. All of that, in a chip the size of a fingernail. When jamming and spoofing take other systems down, Iridium PNT keeps running. That's the network MetOcean builds on.
