One of the most important parts of my job is spending time with customers, understanding what is working, where their needs are evolving, and how we can continue to build the future together. That is why I value our Accountant Council so much. Recently, 21 firms joined our teams for three days of co-creation across our unified intelligence platform, from Intuit Accountant Suite to Intuit QuickBooks Advanced to Intuit Enterprise Suite. I spent time with accounting professionals from solo practices to some of the largest advisory firms we serve. Together, they support more than 40,000 businesses across a wide range of industries. That breadth matters. It helps ensure what we build reflects how accountants actually run their firms, serve their clients, and navigate change. The conversations reinforced three things for me: • The fundamentals matter. Innovation has to be built on a foundation firms can rely on every day. • Meet firms where they are. Every practice is different, and our platform’s ability to work seamlessly with the workflows and tools accountants already depend on is critical. • AI must deliver automation, intelligence, and trust. Accountants want technology to take on more of the work and turn data into insights and action, with transparency, confidence, and their judgment still at the center. That balance is critical, and what we are hearing is shaping how we build. Our unified intelligence platform is designed to take on more of the work and put trusted intelligence into accountants’ hands, while keeping them in control so they can focus their judgment and expertise where it creates the most value for clients. Thank you to our Accountant Council for the candor, partnership, and for continuing to shape where we go next.

It's Small Business Month in Canada🇨🇦 and it's important for us at Intuit Accountants — because accounting and bookkeeping firms are small businesses too. This community is not just supporting entrepreneurs, so many of you are one of them: building a practice, managing a team, taking the same risks as the clients you advise. So this month, we want to pause say thank you — for the hours, the expertise, and the trust your clients place in you every day. To our Canadian accounting community: what are you grateful for this Small Business Month? We'd love to hear.
As Small Business Month in Canada kicks off, we’re celebrating the heartbeat of our economy: the entrepreneurs, creators, and local leaders building something incredible every single day. 🇨🇦✨ We put together a quick look at some of the entrepreneurs we're lucky enough to support. Their hustle and creativity never stop inspiring us. To every Canadian business owner out there: thank you for the work you put in. You're the ones powering our communities forward. Who's your go-to local business? Tag them below so we can give them a shoutout this month! 👇 #SmallBusinessMonth #SupportLocal #Entrepreneurship

It’s Party conference season… and nothing quite says “party time” like a friendly dose of challenging the government 🥳 I’m here in Liverpool, right at the pulse of UK politics alongside Intuit Accountants at the Labour Party Conference 🔴 It’s been a whirlwind 48 hours meeting, debating and challenging Cabinet members, MPs and special advisors on subjects that matter to our fellow accountanting community and the hundreds of thousands of small businesses we serve 👔 Rt. Hon. Jonathan Reynolds MP I have to say there was definitely a more upbeat vibe compared to last year. The key phrasing and theme was “Hope, Again”. But of course you’re interested in the action more than the slogans, so let’s get down business with our 3 top asks: 📝 1️⃣ Firstly, the term SME means the ‘s’ is too often missed out or ‘mislabelled’ in wider blanket policies. Let’s change that through a) closer conversations with genuine small business reps, b) pumping the brakes on the pace of regulatory change (e-invoices straight after MTD rollout anyone?!) and c) introducing tapered taxation that promotes the small businesses of today becoming the large enterprises of tomorrow. Tax cliff edges are one of the biggest barriers to growth and ambition. 📉 2️⃣ Secondly, when it comes to tech and Al, we need better incentives through grants and supported training to tackle *deeper and more impactful* adoption. Not just “I use AI as a chatbox”. This is another lever where growth can be unlocked, and I’m confident a training opportunity for the +1m NEETS is hiding here in plain-sight. 🧑💻 3️⃣ Thirdly, entrepreneurs may be resilient but we are also engines of growth. A fiscal policy that gives business owners both confidence and hope was our single most repeated ask. 📈 So with October’s Budget hurtling towards us, I can only have hope (again) that what comes next is continued dialogue with small businesses and accountants like us - which can of course be conveniently facilitated and propelled by friendly giants like our pals at Intuit QuickBooks , and their incredible network of accountants like TaxAssist Accountants who truly support and serve real small businesses. We kicked off our Accountant Council week yesterday evening! Looking forward to a week of good conversations with this talented group, hearing what they’re seeing across the profession, what’s working, what isn’t, and where we can continue to do better. It’s also great to welcome 10 new members to the Council this year, alongside 11 returning members. There’s a huge amount of experience and perspective around the table, and I’m looking forward to learning from all of them over the next few days. A very warm welcome to our new members, and welcome back to those joining us again. Excited for the week ahead! And yes, they even managed to get me in front of the camera for a new headshot. Proof that Council week is already productive. 😂
