It started in 1999 with a group of local high school students who had a big idea. Today, we’re still driven by that same goal bringing fast, reliable internet freedom to the heart of America. For us, connection isn’t just about wires and speeds; it’s about bringing people closer to what matters most and opening new doors for our local communities. We’re built by the people who live here, for the people who call it home. #LocalProvider #Community #InternetFreedom #MidwestLiving

Your router's location matters more than you might think. Walls, furniture and electronics can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal. For better coverage throughout your home, keep your router: ⬆️Elevated 🏠Near the center of your home 📡Out in the open A small move could make a big difference. Behind every fast connection is a local team that actually cares. Long before you run your first speed test, technicians like Brett are out in the field doing the hard work to keep Kansas connected. Brett doesn't just install fiber, he takes the time to answer your questions, walk you through your setup, and make sure everything is working perfectly before he heads out. That's the IdeaTek difference: no distant call centers, no feeling like just another account number. Just your neighbors showing up for you. Drop a 👋 in the comments to say hi to Brett and the rest of our local crew! #Local #Wifi #InternetFreedom #Fiber

Out on the green for a great cause! ⛳ We had a fantastic time connecting with local leaders and community partners at the Greater Topeka Partnership Golf Tournament. Not a bad way to start a Thursday morning. Today I was part of a "Clap-In", lining the sidewalk to welcome elementary schoolers back for the first day of school. Red carpet, noise makers, pure (controlled) chaos in the best way. First time at one of these. Will not be the last. Some kids walked in like they owned the place. Others were still warming up to the whole idea that summer was over, which is completely fair. Either way, watching their eyes light up and being met with plenty of high fives was worth it. Shout out to Brad Richards Jr., MPA for organizing, Dynamo Capital for some extra noise makers and my new friends at IdeaTek Here's your reminder to encourage a young person whenever you can. It goes a long way.

We had a great day out on the course yesterday with the Greater Topeka Partnership! ⛳️☀️ Team IdeaTek was out in full force, and we had a total blast running our hole sponsor booth, hanging with everyone who stopped by, and watching our team Ty Lyons, Cody McReynolds, Luke Lear, and Corey Janzen take on the green. 🏌️♂️ Networked, caught some sun, and connected with awesome local folks. Couldn't ask for a better day! 🙌 Huge shoutout to GTP for putting on a fantastic tournament! 👏 #GreaterTopekaPartnership #IdeaTek #GolfTournament #TopekaKS #Community #GoodTimes

There is truly no better way to start the morning! Today we got to join Washington Elementary to cheer on students as they walked the red carpet into a brand-new school year. With bubble machines blowing and pom-poms waving, our goal was simple: make every single kid feel celebrated, confident, and ready to take on the year. Huge thanks to Washington Elementary for letting us be part of such a special morning. Here’s to a great school year! #IdeaTekCares #Community #FirstDayVibes #FutureLeaders

We welcomed returning enterprise partner Equity Bank and first-time partner IdeaTek for Week 3 of the Enterprise Engagement Series! One of our favorite takeaways from the conversation was the importance of thinking strategically about every interaction with prospective customers. Think through how you want to parlay each opportunity, build near and far strategies for what happens after the meeting, and stick to them. It’s not just about the meeting itself, but how you turn each opportunity into what comes next. Thank you, Equity Bank and IdeaTek, for a great workshop!

Out here in the Midwest, we have a deep appreciation for things that take time to build. Whether it's a historic brick main street, a long-standing community tradition, or a meaningful career, we understand that you can’t rush foundation work. You show up, you put in the honest effort, and you let things unfold steady and slow. Turning that patient perspective inward is often the hardest part. I’ll be honest: I am actively working on giving myself more grace. Lately, I’ve caught myself looking at my own daily progress through a lens of strict, unforgiving metrics. If I miss a self-imposed milestone, make an error, or hit a rough patch, my immediate response is often self-criticism. True development requires grace. I am incredibly fortunate to work at a company like IdeaTek that doesn't just talk about workplace culture; we actively live it. We talk a lot about fighting for "Internet Freedom" for our communities, yet that bold, entrepreneurial spirit only works because our internal foundation is built on deep trust, connectedness, and mutual support. It is a lot easier to practice self-awareness and extend grace to yourself when you are surrounded by a team that genuinely values you as a whole person, not just an output metric. As a professional of faith, I'm constantly reminded that the ultimate blueprint for this comes from above. In 2 Peter 3:18, we are told to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." I am constantly reminding myself of the order there: Grace comes first. Growth follows. God doesn't measure my inherent value by a current job title, daily productivity, or output. He looks at us with the unconditional love of Romans 8:39, promising that nothing in all creation can separate us from Him. If the Creator of the universe looks at my messy, in-progress journey with complete patience, I need to stop denying that same grace to myself. Here is what I am actively trying to practice alongside my team: * Operating from a place of peace instead of a place of fear or pressure. * Viewing setbacks not as final failures, but as necessary ground for character development. * Giving myself permission to simply be a work in progress. Extending grace to yourself isn't a sign of complacency or laziness. It’s just good wisdom. You cannot build a healthy, sustainable life or a great company in a climate of constant self-condemnation. If you are navigating a stressful season, a heavy workload, or an uncertain transition right now, let’s take a deep breath together. Let's do the honest work, keep our feet on the ground, and leave the heavy lifting and the judgment to God. Are you working on extending more grace to yourself lately? I'd love to hear how your own workplace culture supports that journey in the comments. 👇 #ProfessionalGrowth #FaithAtWork #Grace #IdeaTekLife #CompanyCulture #MidwestProfessionals #PersonalDevelopment #Encouragement
