Homes For Our Troops is honored to build and donate specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, empowering them to reclaim their independence and rebuild their lives. Since 2004, HFOT has donated 444 homes nationwide, each one made possible by the unwavering support of our donors, partners, and volunteers. Recently Homes For Our Troops marked a major milestone as we hosted the 15th Annual HFOT Golf Classic! ⛳ To celebrate 15 incredible years of this event, we gathered at TPC Boston in Norton, MA, with our amazing supporters, Corporate Partners, Veterans, families, and volunteers for a memorable day dedicated to our mission of Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives! Despite the weather, the spirit of generosity and camaraderie shone through, raising more than $194,000 to advance our mission. A highlight of the day was welcoming eight HFOT Veterans and their families, including Marine SGT Craig Brady (MA, 2024), Army SPC Brett Bondurant (IN, 2014), Army SGT Noah Galloway and his daughter, Rian (AL, 2015), Army SFC Jake Green and his wife, Kelly (NC, 2025), Army SPC Bryant Jacobs (UT, 2009), Army SPC Marco Solt (MN, 2015), Army SGT Robert “Finn” Visbal (GA, 2018), and Future Home Recipient Army SSG Bernard “Bernie” Teich, who is building his specially adapted custom home in Comfort, TX. Thanks to the unwavering support over the years from our sponsors and community, the HFOT Golf Classic has now raised over $1.8 million for our nation’s most severely injured Veterans. Recently, HFOT visited our National Partner, American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA), during their meeting in Portland, Maine, to discuss the importance of fire safety and its role in protecting the families we serve. During our visit, HFOT Executive Director Bill Ivey and Mgr. of Corporate Partnership Matt McGuire joined Josh McDonald, AFSA's Director of Training and Operations, on The K-Factor Podcast to talk about the partnership between Homes For Our Troops and AFSA, as well as our shared commitment to enhancing safety for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans. HFOT and AFSA are proud to work together to provide fire suppression systems whenever possible in the specially adapted custom homes we build. This added layer of protection helps create safer, more secure living environments for the Veterans and families who call these homes their own. This past weekend, we had the privilege of celebrating a truly special milestone as Army Veterans CPL Eddie Ward and CPL Roberto Cruz Arocho received the keys to their new forever homes. ✨ We were especially grateful to have several of our valued corporate partners join us for this unforgettable occasion.
