We’re excited to announce construction start and the closing of financing and historic tax credit equity for The Loewy in Winston-Salem. Originally designed by renowned industrial designer Raymond Loewy, this historic department store will be thoughtfully transformed into 54 apartments and 11,180 square feet of prime commercial space, celebrating the building’s architectural legacy while creating a vibrant new chapter in downtown Winston-Salem. The redevelopment will have modern residential amenities including a fitness center, resident lounge, library, community kitchen, bike room and on-site storage. Our closing would not have been possible without an outstanding team of partners. We are incredibly grateful to Windsor Commercial, Carter Bank, Foss & Company, Ryan, Stonewall Structural Engineering, PLLC, Kilian Engineering, Inc, Housing Authority of the City of Winston-Salem, De-Jan Lu, and our many community partners for their collaboration, expertise, and commitment throughout the process. The ribbon has been cut! ✂️ On June 16th, we celebrated the official opening of The Harrison Building at 250 Harrison Street in downtown Syracuse. What started as a 1929 landmark sitting vacant is now 35 vibrant residences already 89% leased, in less than a month. Reactivated and ready for its next century, this redevelopment would not have been possible without our incredible partners: VIP Structures, Pathfinder Bank, JPMorganChase, Ryan Companies US, Inc., City of Syracuse, Onondaga County, and everyone else who shared the vision and made it real. This adaptive reuse project transformed a long-vacant 1922 mill into a vibrant community hub: 41 apartments, a 20-room boutique hotel, coworking space, a gym, a grand hall for events, and a new restaurant — bringing jobs, housing, and energy back to the heart of downtown Skowhegan. Exciting times in New London!

Some buildings are just buildings. This one carries a name. The Loewy Building — 500 W. Fourth Street, Winston-Salem, NC. Built in 1921, it spent decades as a department store. Then in 1949–1950, the owners hired Raymond F. Loewy Associates to modernize it. His team stripped the ornamental detailing, flattened the façade, and gave it the sleek, streamlined face of a new era. That remodel is why this building carries his name today. Loewy shaped modern America. The Shell logo, the Coca-Cola bottle, Air Force One. Streamlined forms, function-first, chrome-polished perfection. Now, High Tide Capital is bringing it back. 56 units, ground-floor commercial, a gym, lounge, and communal kitchen. We built his design language into every corner — clean lines, retro details, full chrome hardware. Function-first with polish, the way Loewy would have wanted it. A century-old building. A mid-century icon.
