Hackensack Meridian JFK University Medical Center Foundation will be hosting its annual Miles for Minds 5K Race on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Roosevelt Park in Edison. Proceeds from the race will benefit Hackensack Meridian JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at Hackensack Meridian JFK University Medical Center. From our world-renowned Center for Brain Injuries, to life-saving programs such as stroke and cardiac rehabilitation, funds raised will be used to advance patient care across our full spectrum of rehabilitation services by helping to support equipment, research, team member training and facility enhancements. #5k #rehabilitation #braininjury

In 2016, Lanay received a kidney transplant at Hackensack University Medical Center, thanks to her father who was her donor. Ten years later, she reunited with her clinician, Chief of Pediatric Nephrology, Dr. Kenneth Lieberman.
