In recognition of OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week, Habitat safety teams recently hosted a collaborative Construction Safety Stand Down that included classroom training, an interactive VR hazard‑identification experience, a construction site visit, and peer‑to‑peer roundtable discussions.. This event was designed for Habitat construction professionals across the state and offered a hands‑on opportunity to learn, connect and strengthen our shared commitment to building safely.

About us
Habitat for Humanity is a movement of people in your local area and around the world, working together to build more prosperous and vibrant communities by making sure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. Since our founding in 1976 as a Christian organization, together we have helped more than 62 million people in countries around the world build their futures on their own terms through access to decent housing. We’ve done that by working alongside people of all walks of life to build, repair and finance their homes, by innovating new ways of building and financing, and by advocating for policies that make constructing and accessing housing easier for everyone. Together, we build homes, communities and hope. To learn more, visit habitat.org.

From abandoned buildings to affordable homes. While many cities around the world have a shortage of adequate housing, they have plenty of vacant structures. With 50 years of experience in affordable housing, and thanks to partnerships with cities, municipalities, and local stakeholders, we’re transforming Europe’s vacant spaces into homes that meet both social and environmental needs. Learn more about our Empty Spaces to Homes initiative as we work to #OpenTheDoor to more safe and affordable housing around the world. https://lnkd.in/eD-HmQ8n
