For this recorded session, Deborah and Kelly explore how we might redefine success with clarity and purpose. Maybe it’s time to pause the comparison, question expectations that come from places outside of yourself, and choose what progress truly means on your own terms. Let's all try to find ways to define success intentionally, and individually. https://lnkd.in/dEvZ-UP7 #girlswhoprint #success #intention

  • On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Girls Who Print honors the enduring impact of Dr. King’s leadership and its relevance to equity, inclusion, and fair practices across every industry. Dr. King’s advocacy for justice and equal opportunity remains a guiding framework for how organizations can create environments where all people can thrive. His calls for transparency, accountability, and moral courage remind us that ethical leadership is the foundation of meaningful progress. In our industry, that means building inclusive workplaces that value diverse perspectives, ensuring equitable advancement opportunities, and fostering cultures where fairness isn’t optional, it’s expected. Equity is not a single initiative; it’s an ongoing commitment to align our values with our actions, our hiring with our ideals, and our leadership with purpose. As we reflect on Dr. King’s vision, Girls Who Print reaffirms our commitment to advancing gender equity and inclusion in print by empowering women, promoting fair representation, and advocating for change that benefits everyone. Progress happens when we all lead with integrity and intent. #girlswhoprint #equity #vision #leadership

  • Let's talk about PUBLIC SPEAKING! Often when we are asked to speak to a group, some of us may shy away from sharing our opinions. To be safe, we offer up facts. Research shows that people who rise the most quickly in organizations are those that have a distinct POINT OF VIEW (or POV as the kids say) about the issues or opportunities facing their team/org/company and what should be done to address those opportunities. This is somtimes called VISION, and it is an essential skill of leadership. The next time you are asked to speak at a meeting or write something, ask yourself: What is my opinion on this? Why does this information matter to my organization? How does this affect the decisions we need to make going forward? How do YOU step into your authority and express your vision? #girlswhoprint #leadership #vision #expressyourself #authority
