A new milestone for Station Hill, a major mixed-use development transforming the gateway to Reading, UK.   Gensler’s design for Phase 3A has received planning approval, advancing the next stage of the £850 million masterplan and its vision for a more connected, vibrant urban neighborhood.   Designed in partnership with Lincoln MGT, the joint venture between Lincoln Property Company and MGT Company, Phase 3A will introduce approximately 600 private and affordable homes, alongside new amenities and a significant expansion of the public realm. At its heart, Station Hill Gardens will create a new landscape-led public space designed to encourage connection, community and everyday activity.   Rooted in Reading’s architectural character and material heritage, the design brings together housing, landscape and public life to create a resilient, people-centered neighborhood, strengthening Station Hill’s role as a new gateway to the town and wider region.   #UrbanDesign #London #UrbanPlanning #ResidentialDesign #Architecture

‘Iolani School’s new student center is a gathering place for the whole campus community. Set on a tight central site within an established urban campus in Honolulu, the building serves both the Upper and Lower Schools as a social connector and campus-wide food service hub. An 800-seat dining hall anchors the program, joined by classrooms, wellness and support spaces, and an event terrace. Transparency and patio-style doors open the interiors to covered courts and terraces, encouraging indoor-outdoor learning and gathering. The building’s form frames views of Waikīkī and the campus chapel, and culminates in an 18,000-square-foot roof terrace that works as both study and event space. Above it, a sweeping roof provides shade, rain protection, and solar power while evoking the wing of the ‘Io hawk, a nod to the school’s identity rooted in Native Hawaiian and Episcopal traditions. Climate resiliency runs throughout. Native plantings and bioretention areas manage stormwater, an elevated ground floor mitigates flooding, and a steel-reinforced curtainwall stands up to hurricane-force winds while shading the interior. A rooftop photovoltaic array offsets a significant share of the building’s energy use. An extension of the school’s spiritual and social center, designed to move, inspire, and welcome everyone who enters. 📸: Adam Taylor #design #interiordesign #schooldesign #campusdesign #hawaii

What if a law firm felt more like a private members club? The best ideas rarely come from everyone thinking the same way. For the new London headquarters of a leading global law firm, Gensler placed cognitive diversity at the center of the design, making space for different perspectives, preferences, and ways of thinking. Every detail has a reason for being, from the thoughtful reuse of the existing fit-out to spaces designed around choice and inclusion. The result challenges expectations of what a law firm can look and feel like, proving that when design responds to how people think, the possibilities extend far beyond convention. 📸 Ryan Gobuty #InteriorDesign #LawOfficeDesign #OfficeDesign #London

Hybrid work asked a hard question of the workplace: what can an office offer that home cannot? At Indeed’s Stamford, Conn. hub, the answer is the experiences that happen between people — the learning, connecting, socializing, and cultural activities. Spanning 125,000 square feet across two interconnected buildings, the new workplace is organized around experience rather than assigned desks. A network of feature stairs stitches training, dining, meeting, and social destinations into a single connected ecosystem. A multifunctional dining hall anchors the ground floor, flexing from everyday meals to events, while a training venue hosts sessions for over 100 people. Throughout, an environmental graphic program draws on #Stamford’s American Impressionist heritage, grounding the global brand in the city’s creative history.   Office Snapshots recently spotlighted the project as a #peoplefirst workplace ecosystem built around learning, flexibility, and culture. Infused with hospitality thinking, cost discipline, and brand purpose, Indeed creates a workplace destination people actively choose. Discover what’s behind the design process of 10 Gresham Street with Gensler Co-CEO Jordan Goldstein. He explores how Gensler transformed a 20-year-old office building into one of London’s leading sustainable workplaces through a comprehensive Grade A refurbishment. 10 Gresham Street — a zero-emission workplace — proves that #circulardesign can reposition aging office stock into a premium, future-ready asset, setting a new benchmark for refurbishment-led development in London. Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/ebQmSVeJ #SustainableDesign #SustainableArchitecture #BuildingTransformation #AdaptiveReuse

The most sustainable building is often the one that's already there. This month, I'm sharing our redesign of 10 Gresham Street in London — a repositioning project that saved 17,000 tons of CO2 by working with what was already standing, bringing new life to old bones. Sports venues have always been engines of energy, identity, and civic pride, concentrating emotion into a few unforgettable hours and anchoring franchises to their cities. That role hasn't changed. What has changed is the scale of value surrounding the organizations they serve. Franchise values are climbing at an extraordinary pace across every league and country. Per Forbes, the average National Football League (NFL) team is now worth over $7 billion, with basketball, baseball, soccer, and women's sports close behind. Teams aren't just local clubs anymore — they're regional and global brands, and the venue is where that brand comes to life. As investment in sports and entertainment scales up, venues are no longer just game-day hosts. The best ones are designed as always-on operating assets, engines of economic growth and brand expression that serve multiple audiences year-round. Read the latest blog about this by Gensler Co-CEO Jordan Goldstein in the comments below.

A new chapter begins for London’s Riverfront. We’re proud to announce that Gensler is working with Arada on the first stage of Thameside West, a major new waterfront neighbourhood in London’s Royal Docks. This initial phase will bring 1,500 new homes and a significant public park, forming part of a wider vision for at least 5,000 homes. With a gross development value of £2.5 billion, Thameside West represents a major investment in the future of East London and forms part of the long-term transformation of the Royal Docks, one of Europe’s largest regeneration areas. The wider vision includes 35% affordable housing, green space across half the site, a kilometre of active waterfront and a new railway station, bringing together new homes, public infrastructure and investment to support long-term economic growth. For Gensler, the development speaks to a challenge facing cities globally: how large-scale investment and design can work together to unlock underused urban land, respond to housing demand, and create lasting economic and social value. #ThamesideWest is an opportunity to help shape a more connected and resilient part of London, while contributing to a broader conversation about how cities grow and evolve. “Following our investment in Thameside West in November 2025, we outlined our ambition to unlock this extensive riverside development to help alleviate the huge pressure on housing in the capital. Today’s announcement of our plans for the first stage alongside the appointment of Gensler, Arup, and Planit, are major steps forward in our vision.” —Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO, Arada Explore our Gensler London office: https://lnkd.in/gZ7M4eWW #RiversideDevelopment #EastLondon #UrbanDesign #ResidentialDevelopment #UKHousing

As millions of fans have traveled to and across North America for the 2026 World Cup™ this summer, millions of locals are also enjoying the action that’s arrived in their hometowns. And they’re sharing their experiences across the entire journey — from landing at airports, to arriving at stadiums, to navigating host cities, to celebrating together and learning the customs of locals and visitors alike. All moments that make this tournament memorable far beyond the game.   Voice of the Fan, developed in partnership with ROAR, a Seregh Company, brings those stories together, analyzing tens of thousands of public social media posts to reveal how stadiums, districts, and host cities each play a part in shaping the fan experience throughout the tournament. The dashboard offers a new way to understand what most excites fans and where the experience can improve. Guided by fresh perspectives from the fan-centered tool, we can better shape how the power of place can elevate cultural moments that bring people together.   Explore Voice of the Fan across every host city: https://lnkd.in/gcWEQyDf #VoiceoftheFan #ABeautifulGame #FutureofSports #FanExperience #DigitalDashboard #FanDashboard #SoccerStadiums
