  • Gallatin AI has joined the Military-Civilian Health Ecosystem, administered by the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). We're proud to stand alongside the academic, clinical, and federal partners advancing this mission. Here's why it matters to us. The logistics missions we support don't end when a casualty leaves the point of injury. Care continues through joint patient movement, combatant command coordination, and ultimately the civilian hospitals that hold most of the nation's definitive care capacity. The November 2025 NDMS Pilot Summary Findings documented where those handoffs break down. The work now is closing those gaps. Medicine is one of the few missions everyone can get behind. It is also too big for any one community. U.S. healthcare is nearly one fifth of the economy, and military medical readiness depends on it the same way military logistics depends on the commercial industrial base. Academic institutions, hospital systems, medical suppliers, combat support agencies, state and local emergency management, and the military health enterprise each hold part of the answer, but none holds all of it. Our role is connective. Within military sustainment, health supportability gets less attention than fuel, ammunition, or repair parts. We build planning and decision support for sustainment, and we joined the Ecosystem to bring that experience to the health side of the problem and to learn from the partners who know care delivery best. Even the best medicine depends on what arrives, where, and when.   • Gallatin AI has been awarded a contract by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) under the Joint Sustainment Decision Tool (JSDT) program. Navigator will bring AI-native sustainment decision-support to U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF), supporting the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative and planning courses of action for critical needs like medical resupply and casualty evacuation. Gallatin is joined by partner Scale AI, whose Scale Generative AI Platform validates recommended COAs against real mission context. Full release below.

  • At the US Army's Operation Jailbreak, Armaments Research Company's weapon sensors fed ammunition expenditure data across Anduril Industries' Lattice into Gallatin Navigator, helping forecast when infantry would exhaust their supply. Open architecture like this accelerates how fast these solutions come together. The result gives soldiers and decision-makers time to act and reduce shortfalls when it matters most in the field.     Seven months ago, I joined Gallatin to help tackle some of the hardest challenges in military healthcare. One belief has only become stronger: logistics underwrites operational medicine. Outcomes ultimately depend on the ability to move people, supplies, equipment, blood, and information where they’re needed, when they’re needed. One thing I’ve appreciated over the last seven months is working with a highly skilled team of logistics SMEs, product leaders and engineers focused on solving real sustainment challenges that directly impact healthcare readiness.     At MTEC 2026, Gallatin Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer, Brian Ballard joined the AI/ML in Healthcare panel to talk about where decision support technology can create real value in military medicine. His core point: the medical supply chain is not linear. It is global, fractured, and multidirectional, feeding patients, providers, and endpoints across every echelon of the battlespace while simultaneously reaching back through the defense industrial base, civilian hospital systems, and pharmaceutical networks. Planning for it as though it flows in one direction misses most of the problem. Brian outlined three areas where decision support can make an immediate difference. Prediction: anticipating what medical supplies, blood products, and clinical capacity will be needed, where, and when. Tracking: maintaining visibility into patients, equipment, and casualty status as conditions change. Orchestration: helping planners evaluate distribution and patient movement options across strategic, operational, and tactical levels, while keeping humans in control of the decisions that matter. This is the problem set Gallatin's Navigator capability is built to support. Not to replace the planner or the logistician, but to help commanders and sustainment teams connect fragmented data, evaluate options faster, and coordinate resources closer to the point of need. Health service support, Class VIII, blood logistics, patient movement, and medical equipment availability are not separate problems. They are connected sustainment decisions.   • A corps staff has to forecast what tens of thousands of Soldiers will need over months of sustained conflict, then reconcile that demand against sustainment commands and depots that may sit a continent away. That is a different problem than tactical resupply. Corps staffs run on operational timescales and operational complexity, and at the corps echelon the tooling for it has largely been missing. Gallatin AI, Inc. has been awarded an 18-month contract by the U.S. Army's III Armored Corps to deploy and refine Navigator in support of corps exercises and operational planning. The award maps to two Department of War critical technology areas: Applied Artificial Intelligence and Contested Logistics Technologies. Navigator is already deployed with multiple military units. This effort extends it up echelon, where corps and Corps Sustainment Command (CSC) planners can build and stress-test courses of action together before anyone commits resources.   • We built Gallatin Radio Agent during the Army #xTech National Security Hackathon less than one month ago. For the past three weeks, the US Army ran Operation Jailbreak, a hackathon built around its Right to Integrate initiative. The premise is simple: critical warfighting systems should publish open APIs and integrate with other systems so capability can reach soldiers at the pace of the fight. We were honored to be invited. Ten days from invitation to live demo at Fort Carson, Gallatin exposed Navigator's open API, then finalized integrations with Palantir Technologies' Maven Smart System and Anduril Industries' Lattice, both foundations of the NGC2 architecture. Today, we got the chance to show this to Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Army CTO Alex M. in a live operational demo. Here’s what we showcased: Gallatin Radio Agent took a warfighter's contact report via voice over radio, classified the report, and dropped an enemy drone icon onto Lattice and Gaia in real time. Lattice correlated our UAS reports with concurrent radar, acoustic, and soldier-borne sensor data from other Operation Jailbreak participants’ systems. The natural-language detail the soldier provided (what the drone looked like, how it was behaving) enriched the fused track in ways hardware sensors can’t capture on their own. It showcased the power of multiple unaffiliated systems working together. Moments later, another supply update came in over the radio and appeared instantly in Navigator’s sustainment COP, showcasing a logistics capability running on the same core architecture. These events, official hackathons focused on real integrations achieving real effects work, are a massive interoperability accelerator. Open APIs in an open ecosystem are what make that speed possible. Glad to be part of it and looking forward to the next one.
