Novig is doing things their own way — peer-to-peer, better odds, greater transparency, and novel user parameters. Excellent feature on what makes this platform so unique and powerful in WIRED: https://lnkd.in/gmyfHee7
Responsible markets should be a competitive advantage. Exchanges already compete on products, technology, market structure, liquidity, surveillance, and customer experience. I believe governance and responsibility should be part of that competition, too. Exchanges can do more than comply with the minimum requirements imposed on them. We should be challenging ourselves (and each other) to build markets that are more transparent, more trustworthy, and more responsible. That’s why Novig is putting responsible trading standards directly into the rulebook of our CFTC-regulated exchange. We’re the first regulated prediction market exchange to codify these standards in our rulebook, including the category’s only nationwide 21+ age requirement. The framework creates affirmative obligations around how we design products, monitor participant activity, market our platform, review new contracts, and promote responsible participation. Prediction markets are still an emerging industry, and we have an opportunity to establish the standards that will shape how these markets operate for years to come. I’m proud that Novig is leading that effort. Read more about what is included in our framework in WIRED : https://lnkd.in/eUHUfzwj
