Parents expect to spend up to $900 per kid this year on back-to-school shopping, according to a new GMA/Ipsos Parents Poll. And it's not just notebooks and backpacks. It's uniforms, shoes, technology, and a long list of supplies, all landing on the budget at the same time. Flexible payment options like Buy Now Pay Later help families navigate this budget crunch by letting them split the cost of a new uniform or a cart full of supplies into smaller, predictable payments with zero to low interest. This #BacktoSchool season, explore how Buy Now Pay Later helps consumers pay for what their kids need, on terms that fit their budget. All Americans should have the opportunity to invest and build wealth. As a full-service wealth-building platform, Betterment helped expand that opportunity by introducing automated investing tools, making diversified portfolios more accessible, affordable, and user-friendly, and making long-term investing simple for everyday Americans. That shift has a lasting impact. Expanding access to investment tools isn't just good for individuals; it's good for families, small businesses, and the broader economy. As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we also celebrate the continued evolution of financial technology and expanded access to investment opportunities. #PoweredByFintech

For millions of small business owners, accepting a card payment once meant expensive equipment, lengthy contracts, and barriers that kept them on the sidelines of the digital economy. In 2009, Square changed that. By turning any smartphone into a payment terminal, Square put enterprise-level commerce tools in the hands of everyday entrepreneurs, and the impact was immediate. More small businesses could accept payments anywhere, operate more efficiently, and compete in an increasingly digital marketplace. As we celebrate 250 years of American innovation, Square's story is a powerful reminder that the best breakthroughs aren't just about technology; they're about building new opportunities for everyday Americans. Empowering the everyday entrepreneur. That's what fintech is all about. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dyQw-ihC #PoweredByFintech

What does it take to build companies that transform financial services? Check out this conversation on the @Founders podcast between David Senra and Micky Malka, Founder of our member company Ribbit Capital. Micky shares lessons from his journey as an entrepreneur and investor, including the importance of taking risks, supporting bold ideas, and building solutions that expand access to financial services. A great conversation on the people and innovations driving fintech forward. Watch the full conversation below: https://lnkd.in/ek9TZUhS
Micky Malka is the founder of Ribbit Capital — the firm behind Revolut, Robinhood, Nubank, Coinbase, and more. He bought his first share of Berkshire Hathaway when he was 13, in Venezuela, with money he borrowed from his grandfather. His grandfather charged him interest. He started his first company at 17. In his mid-20s, he put every dollar he had into launching a bank in Brazil for the 50 million Brazilians nobody else would serve. Micky is a quiet killer. Respected by the elite of the elite. When I asked Patrick O'Shaughnessy how he’d describe Micky to someone who didn’t know him, he said: “He’s a mfing moneymaker.” Micky hates labels. The only label he wants is on his tombstone: “He was a rebel.”

That approach has made it easier for businesses of all sizes to serve customers around the world with faster, more seamless payment experiences.
