Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation is a hub for economic empowerment. Austin Coming Together and Westside Health Authority (WHA) transformed a shuttered school in Chicago into 74K sq ft of workforce training, financial literacy services, and community space. Residents like Cedric are now pursuing in-demand careers thanks to programs offered by the Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC). Big news from Detroit: the Detroit Home Repair Fund has now completed repairs on 800+ homes for homeowners. Since launching, the fund — a partnership between Enterprise Community Partners, Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, and the Gilbert Family Foundation — has invested $25.8M in home repairs and completed more than 10,000 individual repairs, helping homeowners stay safely in the homes they've worked so hard to keep. For people like Ms. Solomon, that means more than a repaired roof or a dry basement — it means preserving a legacy. “I would love to bless my son the way my grandparents blessed me,” she says.
