How do you help employees through life's hardest moments? The PEOPLE Magazine | PEOPLE.com Companies That Care list, produced by Great Place To Work, recognizes organizations that pair a great employee experience with meaningful care for people, both in and beyond the workplace. It highlights companies that build trust long before employees need support and are there when it matters most. At Elevance Health, one associate's story shows the impact that kind of support can have. As Ryan Craig explains, over the course of just a few years, Vicky experienced an unimaginable series of losses. She lost two sons to overdoses, her father to cancer, and a former husband to suicide, all while balancing work and the responsibilities of caregiving. Throughout those challenges, Elevance Health surrounded her with support. She accessed grief counseling through the company's employee assistance program, received virtual care when she needed it, and found help while caring for her father. She was also selected for a Destination Wellness Experience, a fully funded opportunity focused on healing and well-being through activities like meditation, hiking, and yoga. Vicky shared that each resource helped her rebuild and reminded her that she wasn't alone. Her story is a powerful reminder that employee experience isn't defined by a single program or moment. It's created through a sustained commitment to supporting people through every stage of life. When employees know they can turn to their organization during difficult times, trust grows stronger, communities become more connected, and people are better equipped to care for others. Congratulations to Elevance Health and all of the organizations recognized on this year's PEOPLE Companies That Care list. https://bit.ly/4qdf7H6 #CompaniesThatCare #EmployeeExperience #GreatPlaceToWork #ElevanceHealth #WorkplaceCulture #ForAll #PeopleCompaniesThatCare

Taking medication as prescribed can be critical to managing health, but the barriers aren't always clinical. Challenges like transportation, food access, social isolation, and medication costs can all affect a person's ability to stay on track with treatment. By combining personalized pharmacist support with a whole-health approach, we're helping identify and address the factors that can stand between health plan members and better health outcomes. https://lnkd.in/ePfm-RiD

When students have access to safe spaces that support their physical health, they build healthy habits that can last a lifetime. That's why we're proud to partner with Impact Fitness Foundation (IFF) to renovate the weight room at Thomas Carr Howe Middle School in Indianapolis. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Elevance Health and IFF have invested in Indianapolis schools through community fitness initiatives connected to the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tipoff, a premier collegiate basketball tournament that celebrates the impact of women in sports. More than 40 associates volunteered to help transform the space with modern, up-to-date equipment, creating an environment that encourages movement, builds confidence, and supports students' physical and mental well-being. By investing in healthier learning environments, we're helping ensure more young people have the resources they need to thrive, in school and beyond. #ElevanceHealthCARES
