Power On. And On.
About us
Dedicated exclusively to outdoor power for 50+ years, ECHO is a leader in the development and manufacturing of commercial-grade outdoor power equipment, providing gas- and battery-powered tools with the highest level of performance, quality, and reliability for both professional landscapers and homeowners alike. Founded in 1972, ECHO has been a pioneer in the market, revolutionizing the landscape industry by inventing the world's first backpack blower, the PB-9 in 1975 plus the world's first handheld blower, the PB-200 in 1978, and we’ve been credited with many other world firsts in outdoor power equipment solutions ever since. Over the decades, our product offering has expanded to include chainsaws, string trimmers, brushcutters, edgers, backpack and handheld leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, pole saws, and more. With our continued growth, we established our present-day Americas’ corporate headquarters in Lake Zurich, IL, and our campus now houses over 700,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse, and office facilities, allowing us to manufacture over 200 different whole-good items and 17,000 aftermarket products. At ECHO, our goal is to build upon our legacy of innovation by continuing to offer high-quality outdoor power products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers across a wide range of applications, while also providing superior service, supporting our people, and maintaining our commitment to sustaining nature and the environment.

Making a difference, one backpack at a time ✏️✂️📚. Last week, 25 ECHO employees filled 77 backpacks with school supplies for students in District 95 through our partnership with Joanie's Closet. Since 2024, ECHO employees have helped prepare more than 200 local students for a successful school year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped support students and families in our community.

Happy National Intern Day! This summer, ECHO was fortunate to welcome 12 talented interns representing a variety of departments across the organization. From Marketing and Finance to Automation, Engineering, and more, our interns gained hands-on experience within their teams while contributing to meaningful projects that support our business. In addition to their day-to-day responsibilities, they helped plan and support ECHO's annual Summer Party and visited local ECHO dealers to gain firsthand insight into how our products are showcased and sold in the field. Thank you to our interns for their hard work, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives. We're proud to be part of your professional journey and look forward to seeing all that you'll accomplish in the future. #NationalInternDay #FutureLeaders

We can't confirm the rumors... but we can confirm that's an ECHO Industrial Power Equipment Generator doing what it does best. ⚡ Great work by the IPE team helping power one of the most talked-about setups of the weekend.
The headlines may be about pop stars and football stars, but we're proud to see ECHO IPE technology and United Rentals playing a supporting role behind the scenes. ⚡ From major events to mission-critical operations, dependable power is what we do. https://lnkd.in/e2qGFBGY

Last week, we celebrated the grand opening of ECHO’s new National Training Center in McHenry, Illinois. This purpose-built facility is designed to deliver hands-on, immersive training for OPE and ECHO Industrial Power Equipment, helping technicians across our dealer network build skills, increase efficiency and better serve customers. We were especially proud to welcome many of the ECHO team members who helped bring this center to life and to thank them for their hard work in making it a reality. We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue investing in education and service excellence.

On Friday, we brought all ECHO employees together for our annual summer party - and what an incredible day it was! With nearly 1,000 employees in attendance, the event was filled with great food, games, music, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues old and new. A huge thank you to our planning committee for their dedication and hard work in making this event such a success. And of course, we’re endlessly grateful to our employees, whose passion and commitment continue to drive ECHO forward and enable us to build world-class products every day.

Last week, we welcomed members of our User Advisory Group (UAG), a volunteer network of landscape business owners who share real‑world insights and provide unbiased feedback to help shape ECHO products for the demands of the job. The visit included a behind‑the‑scenes production tour, hands‑on demos, and opportunities to connect directly with our Product Management Team to share feedback and support product development. UAG members also gave back to the local community, providing lawn care services at properties in need. Programs like UAG reflect ECHO’s commitment to innovation, education, and community engagement while strengthening relationships with the professionals who rely on our products every day.
