We're proud to announce that Seth Cohen has joined the Standard Nuclear Board of Directors! 🇺🇸☢️ Cohen brings a rare combination of legal, regulatory, and federal policy experience across the nuclear industry, a vantage point that matters more each year as advanced reactors, national infrastructure, and surging demand for reliable power reshape the sector. As Chief Counsel for Nuclear Policy at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) he oversaw the department's nuclear legal and policy work and coordinated closely with the White House, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration on the deployment of advanced nuclear and space power systems. He originated and led the administration's signature fuel cycle achievement, the nuclear lifecycle innovation campus, along with its accompanying regulations and legislative proposals. The result was 27 governors and communities competing to host the full backend of the nuclear fuel cycle. Before entering government service, Cohen clerked for the Honorable Kenneth Kiyul Lee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Elizabeth Lee Branch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He then joined Kirkland & Ellis LLP in San Francisco, where he handled Supreme Court and appellate litigation. Welcome to the team, Seth! 🇺🇸

Matt spent over two decades in uniform, serving in multiple combat deployments with U.S. Army Special Forces. The collaboration combines Framatome's fuel cycle expertise and proven infrastructure with Standard Nuclear’s technical manufacturing capabilities and industry-leading fuel production expertise to deliver finished TRISO-based fuel products for advanced nuclear reactors.
