At Corgan, learning extends beyond the classroom. This summer, our interns gained firsthand experience in the day-to-day work of an architecture and design firm — collaborating on projects, visiting sites, learning from mentors, and seeing how ideas move from concept to reality. From the office to the project site, they experienced the people, processes, and creativity behind our work. Great architecture makes an impression before you ever step inside. A building's facade is often the first thing people notice, shaping how a space feels and reflects its purpose. Through thoughtful materials, scale, and design, facades can respond to their surroundings while creating a lasting visual impact.

Corgan is partnering with Strzala Architects to support the next chapter of aviation across Manchester Airports Group. This collaboration will provide early-stage architectural services supporting major capital investment programmes across Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands airports, combining Strzala’s deep regional expertise with Corgan’s global aviation experience to help shape more resilient, sustainable, and passenger-focused airports.

Great partnership creates lasting impact. Corgan has partnered with long- time client Frisco ISD to build the largest fine arts facility in the district, giving students access to professional-grade performance spaces, advanced theater technology and a dedicated venue to showcase their creative talents close to home. As airports look for innovative ways to become more sustainable, all-electric facilities are emerging as a path forward that benefits airports, passengers, and the environment. Corgan is helping lead that evolution, designing two of the first all-electric airport terminals in the United States: Terminal C at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and the replacement passenger terminal at Hollywood Burbank Airport. These projects demonstrate how all-electric design can support long-term decarbonization goals while setting a new standard for the terminals of tomorrow. Corgan’s research and design team, Hugo — along with American Society of Interior Designers - ASID Foundation — explored how schools can better support educators with visible and invisible disabilities. Through immersive simulations and on-site observations, the team uncovered how everyday design choices can create barriers that impact teacher well-being, comfort, and performance, highlighting the need for more inclusive learning environments. The findings underscore an important opportunity for the future of school design: creating inclusive environments that support the diverse needs of educators benefits the entire learning community. By designing for accessibility, equity, and well-being, schools can empower teachers to thrive, ultimately fostering better outcomes for students. When teachers thrive, students do too.

Charlotte's South End has become one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods, and the Charlotte Hotel, a collaboration between Corgan and Abeyta Architecture Studio, is rooted in the area's energy and history, weaving the surrounding community into the guest experience. Inspired by the district's industrial heritage and creative spirit, the hotel is deeply connected to its surroundings. Great architecture is as much about how we move through a space as the building itself. Every pathway, corridor, and transition is an opportunity to shape how people experience a building. The flow of movement influences what we notice, where we gather and how naturally the architecture unfolds, creating an environment that feels welcoming and intuitive from beginning to end. By designing circulation with intention, architects can create spaces that are both functional and memorable.
