Request for Proposals: Customer Service and Culturally Responsive Training The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes’ Tribal Credit Department is seeking qualified consultants to provide customer service training with culturally relevant components specific to the Bitterroot Salish, Ksanka (Kootenai), and Qlispe (Upper Pend d’Oreille). Training will support a team of 12 staff who serve Tribal members in lending, operations, compliance, collections, and financial services. The program should strengthen communication, trauma-informed service approaches, and culturally grounded interactions in a high-volume lending environment. This is an open listing with no closing date; proposals will be cataloged as received. The first scheduled training date is August 3, 2026. Consultants with experience serving Tribal communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Selection will follow the CSKT Indian Preference Ordinance. About us
The CSKT are a federally recognized tribe pursuant to the ratification of the 1855 Hellgate Treaty which reserved the present 1.2 million-acre homeland. The CSKT adopted its constitution and bylaws in 1935 which established the current governing structure. In addition to the Tribal government of about 1200 employees, the CSKT owns and operates various business corporations. The current enrollment of tribal citizens is approximately 7,900 of which about two-thirds reside on the Flathead Indian Reservation in western Montana.
