About us
Coda is now Superhuman Docs! Your favorite collaborative doc got some big updates and a fresh new name. Follow Superhuman for all the latest. Coda started in 2014 with a simple observation: In a world full of pre-built tools and applications, why do documents and spreadsheets seem to run the world? The founding Coda team crossed paths at Google, YouTube, and Microsoft, where they saw their teams stretch the limits of what spreadsheets and documents can do. Then, in 2014, they banded together to build the doc they always wanted. One that erased the boundaries between words and data. And where everyone could work together, in their own way, off the same data. Today, Coda brings AI directly into your workflow to help you write, analyze, and automate without leaving your doc. Coda. It's a new day for docs. Coda is a part of the Superhuman suite of apps and agents that brings AI wherever people work.

You said someone just built an entire event platform for the Alaska Native Youth Olympics — in Superhuman Docs? Okay. No, wait, not okay. Because how amazing is that?! Community member Brittany Gene created a Docs ecosystem that powers 296 athletes, 37 teams, and 17 scoring stations running live on the gym floor! She'll break down her process on August 10. AI has a problem with teamwork. But that’s where we come into play. Everything you create with AI in SuperDocs can be shared with your team, and everyone can collaborate in real time. Watch this week’s episode of Super Shipped with our very own Rebecca Bassett to learn how it works. I was a diehard Coda user (started back when it was still in alpha) Superhuman Docs officially launched today, and although I'll always miss that C logo and orange branding, Docs is winning me over. My honest take (the good and the one thing I miss)

A new name, with big new updates. ✨
Today we’re introducing Superhuman Docs, the evolution of Coda into the best place for teams and AI to work together. Alex DeNeui and I co-founded Coda to reimagine the modern document and enable anyone to make a doc as powerful as an app. Superhuman Docs builds on that mission, and is reimagined for how teams work with AI now. With Superhuman Docs, AI is no longer a solo experience. Docs AI works with you the way a teammate would, with full context of everything your team has built: your data, your briefs, your roadmaps, your connected tools. You can ask it to summarize a sprint, draft a decision record from your meeting notes, or pull a competitor analysis into a new page, and that work stays right where your teammates can pick it up. I’m incredibly proud of the team for bringing Docs to life! There’s so much more we’re launching, including a way to create custom interfaces on top of your data just by describing it. We’re also introducing Superhuman Databases for teams to manage up to 1 million rows, launching Docs MCP to open it up to the AI tools you already use, and debuting a brand new Mac app. We’ve been building toward this moment for a long time, and Docs starts rolling out today. If you’re an existing Coda user, everything you rely on in your docs will remain the same, and if you’re new, now is a great time to jump in. https://lnkd.in/etcJSG6c
