We recently took a break from the jobsite to recognize the subcontractors working on StudioRes by Marriott Hotels in Chesapeake, VA. Every day, these crews bring the craftsmanship, teamwork, and dedication that keep this project moving forward. Building a grocery store is one thing. Building one beneath nearly 300 luxury apartments is another. The new Whole Foods Market Tuscan Village challenged our team to coordinate construction within a complex mixed-use environment, integrate with shared building systems, sequence work alongside ongoing occupancy, and deliver a fully operational 33,000-SF grocery store within the base of a six-story development. These are the kinds of challenges that don't always make it into the finished photos, but they're what make projects like this possible.
