When Amerita, Inc set out to earn the Accreditation Commission for Health Care Immunoglobulin Distinction, there was no template to follow — as a beta-testing site, the program had to be built from scratch. One of the most effective means of helping to protect the health of our communities is through the use of vaccines, particularly for those who are most vulnerable. At BrightSpring Health Services, teams in all of our lines of business are dedicated to supporting preventive care each day. A colleague at Onco360 Oncology Pharmacy went through one of the hardest periods of his life. When it was over, he made sure three people were recognized, even though none of them knew what they'd carried him through. Quintin Borders, Michael Schumer, and Todd Cooke are part of this month's The Way We Lead honorees, nominated together by IT Access Manager Johnny Evans. Quintin stepped in when his colleague was overwhelmed and needed breathing room. Michael brought patience and guidance, helping him become more effective in his role. Todd brought accountability — including a difficult conversation that, looking back, helped set things right. None of them knew the full weight of what their colleague was carrying.
