Leadership, scholarship, a positive fraternity experience; that's what Beta Theta Pi is all about. Brothers and Friends of Beta have stepped forward in extraordinary ways through the Build the Bridge Campaign. This $25.2 million initiative is building a future where the Beta experience is affordable, impactful and lifelong — for today’s brothers and the generations to follow. Jim Howard, Louisville ’93, doubled his impact on the Beta Foundation — with a little magic. His employer, The Walt Disney Company, was one of 39 companies that contributed matching gifts in fiscal year 2025, totaling $26,859 of support. "Giving back is my way of saying thank you to an organization I believe in ... with a matching gift from a company where I grew up ... 21 years and counting!” Many companies implement programs that can often double or even triple your gift to the Beta Foundation, which is a win-win for the Fraternity. Learn more and see if your company matches gifts to the Beta Foundation at beta.org/match. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 11

These chapters are doing it right. Annually, the Men of Principle Scholarship program allows chapters to recognize non-Greek men on their campuses who exemplify Beta's values. The Foundation gave out $328,682 in student scholarships in the last year, including the MPS program, merit scholarships and and affordability scholarships. Congrats to all scholarship winners and shout out to the chapters that utilize the MPS program to share the Beta experience with collegiate leaders across North America. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 10

Collegiate brothers make the difference — and we're not just talking recruitment. Nearly $24,000 was raised for the Beta Leadership Fund by 1,370 collegians in 2025. That’s enough to fund Men of Principle Scholarships for 25 chapters. There's value in investing in the Beta experience and advancing the Fraternity’s mission, so shout out to the 2025 Sons of the Dragon. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 9

Beta Theta Pi's leadership and education programs are at the heart of the Fraternity's mission to "develop men of principle for a principled life." Each program is carefully designed to equip collegians and volunteers with the knowledge skills and values needed to lead with integrity. The Foundation's investment sustains programs that transform young men today and preserve the Beta experience for generations to come. The Fraternity is gearing up for the second-ever Winter Leadership Conclave this January, bringing together three of Beta's premier leadership programs together under one roof. This experience made quite the impact nearly a year ago, allowing Presidents Academy, Keystone and Leadership Summit attendees to come together in Chicago for a weekend of education, networking and brotherhood. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 8

Being an only child, Jace Wilson, John Carroll ’26, found a sense of camaraderie among brothers in his chapter. His parents immediately saw the benefit of their son's Beta experience. He stepped up in various leadership roles when called on, including as new member educator and his success led the chapter to receiving the Outstanding New Member Education award at Convention this year. "It’s easy to forget about the ‘whole’ student; universities only educate a portion of the person. We give to the Beta Leadership Fund because as a family, we believe that leadership happens both in the classroom and outside of it. The funds support programs that help young men learn values and leadership. As parents, our family taught these things, but at college it’s Beta that is putting theory into practice." 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 7

The Designated Educational Area Grant Program allows alumni to make charitable gifts earmarked for educational projects for chapter houses, such as libraries, study rooms, internet access and general learning space. The goal of the program is to promote positive cultures and shared social experiences through best-in-class homes. At South Dakota, the chapter is using its DEA funds to upgrade internet access and help cover educational operating costs — an innovative use of the program that enhances both learning and connection. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 6

The Beta Foundation is working to make the Beta experience accessible and affordable for collegiate men across North America. Take it from Brother Mike Wortman, Nebraska ’70 (center): "That is why I support the Beta Leadership Fund each year — to help ensure young Betas continue to receive an experience based around the Fraternity’s core values." There are countless ways to leave a lasting impact on leaders of tomorrow, including through Auto-Kai. Some 326 donors pledged support to the Beta Foundation through recurring gifts last year, totaling $145,414. This support highlights the sustainable, predictable impact that allows Beta to plan for the future with confidence. Did you know you can fuel the Beta Leadership Fund with your IRA too? Last year alone, the Foundation saw more than $100,000 in gifts through qualified charitable distributions, a 30% increase from the previous year. Learn how you can maximize your impact through your IRA at beta.org/ira. 12 Days of Foundation Impact, Day 5
