🎉 The results are in! After 6 weeks, 1,300+ builders, and hundreds of incredible projects, we are thrilled to announce the winners of the Backblaze Generative AI Media Hackathon! 🏆 We challenged developers to build #GenAI media apps on Backblaze B2 #CloudStorage, orchestrated through our open-source Genblaze SDK, and the #TechInnovation blew us away. What separated the strongest projects wasn’t just great media generation; it was the architecture underneath. They built workflows that are robust, production-ready, and deeply integrated with #BackblazeB2's powerful features. 🥇 1st Place: firstframe — A review room for AI video ads that doesn’t make you wait for the whole render. 🥈 2nd Place: beavous — A campaign generator built to double-check its own storage, re-verifying every asset the moment it’s read back. 🥉 3rd Place: takegraph — A build system for generative media that can prove its own reuse, recovery, and release integrity, live, against B2. A massive thank you to everyone who participated and used #MachineLearning to redefine media generation, and to our partner GMI Cloud! Check out the top 5 projects and see how they are defining the future of AI media pipelines: https://lnkd.in/e8ezam4B

The object storage layer for AI. Built over two decades. Chosen when performance and economics both have to win.
About us
AI infrastructure runs on data. Storage gets hard at scale. We’ve been breaking, rebuilding, and improving that storage layer for 20 years. We started by building storage servers from scratch in a Palo Alto apartment to save 90% on hardware. Turns out hard constraints make for pretty good engineering. That discipline forged into a platform that performs as well or better than competitors, scales to multi-exabyte workloads, and costs a fraction of what AWS or Google charge. No blank checks or architectural sprawl. Today, the world's leading AI infrastructure providers, neoclouds, and data-intensive businesses run on Backblaze. Our platform includes: - B2 Overdrive: High-throughput object storage engineered for AI infrastructure, GPU workloads, and massive-scale data pipelines. - B2 Neo: White-label enterprise cloud storage powering neocloud platforms for AI, HPC, and media. - B2 Cloud Storage: S3-compatible object storage with predictable pricing, free egress, and no lock-in. - Computer Backup: Automatic, continuous endpoint backup for Macs and PCs. 500,000+ customers. 175 countries. Nasdaq: BLZE. backblaze.com

Managed isn't the same as protected. Your MDM keeps Macs configured and compliant. It won't bring back a file ransomware encrypted or a departing employee deleted. Join Jamf and Backblaze for a live webinar on building a complete Mac protection strategy: device management plus backup, working together. 📅 Friday, August 28 | 12:00 PM CST / 10:00 AM PST | 30 minutes Register: https://hubs.ly/Q04ssGnf0 #MacAdmins #Jamf #MDM #ITsecurity #Ransomware #EndpointBackup #MacIT #CyberResilience

Ever tried moving petabytes of audio data on a tight deadline? It's enough to make even the calmest engineer need a hard reboot. 🤖 The brilliant minds at Hume AI train emotionally intelligent speech models, which means their #MachineLearning pipelines are incredibly data-hungry. When their old fragmented setup started acting like a digital traffic jam, they consolidated their #CloudStorage on Backblaze B2. The result? A unified object store hitting 10 GB/s upload speed! 🚀 Now their compute clusters stay perfectly fed without skipping a beat. Plus, with $0 egress fees, they can spend their budget on cutting-edge #AI research instead of paying tolls just to move their own bytes around. Check out the full case study to see how Hume AI banished storage silos and kept their data pipelines flowing: https://hubs.ly/Q04sXFHg0

Every backup agent that shows up in a user's dock or menu bar is already behind on its job. Here's our take: backup software should never ask an end user for anything. No prompts, no pop-ups, no "click to allow." The moment a user has to interact with it, you've created a point of failure that has nothing to do with backup and everything to do with human behavior. MSP admins on Addigy and Jamf say this constantly in their own words: they want software that deploys silently and "behaves like infrastructure." Not friendly. Not helpful. Invisible. If your current backup tool still needs a user to grant a permission or click through a setup wizard, that's not a UX detail. That's a coverage gap waiting to happen. Curious where people land on this: does your org give end users any visibility into their own backup at all? Last day at Ai4. Booth #1248. Come find us before 5pm. ⌚ Three days in, one thing is clear: AI infrastructure conversations have matured. People aren't asking "should we use #CloudStorage." They're asking "how do we make it cheaper, faster, and more predictable." Those are exactly the right questions. We have answers. If we didn't get to connect this week, our team is available for a virtual follow-up. Link in comments. ⬇️

Day 2 at #Ai42026. The floor is buzzing. 🐝 A pattern we keep hearing from builders at the show: they're hitting #StorageBottlenecks before they hit compute limits. Not enough throughput. Unexpected egress bills. Vendor lock-in that limits where their data can go. This is exactly the problem #B2Overdrive was built for. If you're dealing with this, come find us at Booth #1248, or drop a comment below. 🔥
