📢 Paper accepted at #CogSci2026 We are thrilled to announce that our paper "An Experimental Method to Study Opinion Diffusion in Human-AI Hybrid Societies" co-authored by Léna Gaubert, Rémi Devaux, Antoine JARDIN (Arlequin AI), Elif Çelen (Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics), Raja Marjieh (Princeton University), Diana Mangalagiu (University of Oxford), and Nori Jacoby (Cornell University), has been accepted at the Annual Conference of the Cognitive Science Society (#CogSci2026) for a presentation as a talk! 🔬We introduce the first experimental framework to observe, in real time, how opinions propagate through social networks where humans and AI agents interact. Our preliminary results suggest that hybrid human–AI networks can actually reduce polarization, a counterintuitive finding that reshapes how we should think about the future of AI-mediated discourse. This paper aligns with Arlequin AI's deeptech DNA and with our core mission: developing a pioneering, one-of-a-kind AI platform for high-stakes decision-making. Understanding and simulating how humans and AI agents jointly shape collective decisions is the kind of foundational science governments and corporations need to navigate the next decade.
