About us
Our Mission Advancing science, education, and careers to improve neurologic health for all. At a time when support for basic and translational science is critical—and neurological diseases are on the rise—the ANA serves as a leading voice for neurological research and a trusted partner to physicians and scientists advancing discovery, education, and clinical care. Since 1875, the American Neurological Association has been the premier society for academic neurologists and neuroscientists dedicated to understanding and treating diseases of the nervous system. For 150 years, the ANA has brought together the world’s top academic neurologists. In 2015, it expanded to include students and trainees, preparing the next generation of clinician-researchers for success. The ANA publishes Annals of Neurology and the open-access Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, both delivering cutting-edge research worldwide. Its annual meeting attracts leading faculty and trainees from across the U.S. and abroad to share discoveries, network, and advance their careers. The ANA also offers CME through its On Demand Education Center (OnDEC), MentorLink platform, and an online Memory Bank that captures the evolution of neurology and the society.
