Getting the temperature "just right" is one of the trickiest problems in any building, so we put a team of engineers on it. 😎 Everyone has their own way of staying comfortable at work, because thermal comfort is personal. Humidity, airflow, sun exposure, what you're wearing, even whether you just walked in from outside: every body experiences a room differently. That's exactly why our Global Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering team takes a smarter, building-by-building approach: using local data and direct employee feedback to keep each space comfortable and safe. 🌀🧊

The best part of an Amazon internship isn't just the work. It's the people who help you do it. Meet Sophie, interning on our Customer Acquisition team at HQ2. She spends her days getting to know the people who aren't Amazon customers yet: who they are, what they're trying to solve, and how we can help. It's real, ownership-level work. And behind her is a whole support system. A manager guiding the big picture and a mentor invested in her growth, day in and day out. 📹: Sophie Brants

Amazon reposted this
We reported our Q2 2026 financial results today, with $200.6 billion in revenue, up 20% year-over-year, and operating income of $27.5 billion, up 43%. AWS grew 37% to a $169 billion annualized revenue run rate and our chips and AI businesses each surpassed $25 billion annual revenue run rates, growing triple-digit percentages year-over-year. In Stores, Prime membership grew double digits YoY, we once again achieved record delivery speeds for Prime members in the first half of the year, and we added millions of new products to our selection. I'm proud of our teams for delivering this kind of growth at this pace, at this scale, while continuously making the experience better for our customers. https://lnkd.in/gmEvupkj

Before any waterproof Kindle device reaches your hands, it goes through our Rain Test chamber. 🌧️ At Amazon Lab126, the company’s product innovation hub in Sunnyvale, California, it's one of several stress tests we run on waterproof Kindle devices — because people don't just read in cozy armchairs. They read in the shower, at the beach, poolside. So we throw everything at these devices, from simulated downpours to the kind of splashes they'll actually meet in the wild. It's the behind-the-scenes work that lets you pick up your Kindle without a second thought, wherever your next chapter takes you. 📚

Amazon Leo recently deployed 29 more satellites on the Leo Atlas 8 (LA-08) mission, and our summer interns experienced it from Mission Control. On July 2, ULA's Atlas V rocket carried 29 Amazon Leo satellites to low Earth orbit. It was our 14th mission, bringing our total to nearly 400, the third-largest constellation in orbit. The interns in this video were part of it. From our operations center in Redmond, Washington, they witnessed the team take control of the satellites minutes after launch from Cape Canaveral, FL. Not a bad way to spend a summer. Leo's next launch with ULA will be on their new heavy-lift Vulcan rocket, with service to customers beginning later this year.
