  • AI is driving one of the largest infrastructure investment cycles in decades, transforming data centers into critical assets for the global economy. Annual global investment could exceed US$1 trillion as early as 2027. But scaling AI infrastructure is about more than capacity. Power constraints, climate risks, supply chain pressures and operational resilience are becoming key challenges for the sector. Today, 79% of global data center capacity is located in areas exposed to elevated natural catastrophe risk. Our latest report explores the risks, claims trends and resilience priorities shaping the future of data center construction. 🔗 Download the report: https://ow.ly/Um8s50ZyOt6 #AI #DataCenters #Infrastructure #AllianzCommercial

  • The aviation industry is operating in an increasingly complex environment. While passenger demand and fleet utilization continue to grow, the claims landscape is being shaped by forces that extend far beyond traditional aviation risks. Technological advances are making repairs more complex, supply chain constraints are prolonging aircraft downtime, liability awards are increasing, and geopolitical uncertainty is creating new operational challenges. At the same time, growing congestion across airports and airspace is testing operational resilience. Taken together, these developments point to a broader shift: aviation losses are becoming more interconnected, more costly and more difficult to predict. In this carousel, Allianz Commercial's aviation claims experts explore five trends shaping aviation claims today and examine how the risk environment continues to evolve across the sector. 🔗Explore Claims at Allianz Commercial: https://ow.ly/8k6y50ZxmNx #AllianzCommercial #AviationInsurance #Claims

Today, Allianz announced excellent financial results for our second quarter and first half of 2026. Thanks to strong contributions from all three business segments – Property-Casualty, Life/Health, and Asset Management – we achieved a record operating profit of 9.4 billion euros in 1H 2026.   Halfway through our 2025-2027 strategic cycle, the focused execution of our strategic priorities – driving smart growth, reinforcing productivity, strengthening resilience – is clearly reflected in our results. We are fully on track to meet our Capital Markets Day targets, underpinned by the strength and diversification of our business model.   We confirm our full-year operating profit outlook of 17.4 billion euros, plus or minus 1 billion euros.   Allianz CEO Oliver Bäte says, “Our success means that Allianz has an even greater responsibility to do our part to ease the societal worries within our control. For example, costs are rising faster than disposable income, forcing people to make difficult choices about their insurance premiums and retirement savings.   This is why is it so crucial to offer even greater value for customers’ hard-earned money.  Through our investments in AI, risk prevention, and smarter services, we are determined to help more customers protect what matters to them at a price they can afford. This value creation is how Allianz earns the trust that sets us apart and drives our growth.”   Please find the link to our full results in the comments.   #AllianzFinancialResults #Allianz

  • The Natural Resources sector is undergoing a profound transformation. From conventional energy and refining to offshore wind and renewables, businesses face increasingly complex risks as they adapt to evolving technologies and sustainability goals. When losses occur, what matters most is how quickly and effectively organizations can recover. At Allianz Commercial, claims are more than a financial transaction. They are the moment we deliver on our promise to clients. Our claims experts work alongside clients, brokers, underwriters and technical specialists to find practical solutions that help restore operations and reduce uncertainty. In the carousel, we highlight two examples of how we supported clients through complex Natural Resources claims. Each claim is different. • Artificial intelligence is moving from a technology discussion to a boardroom priority. Our recent survey conducted in collaboration with The D&O Diary gathered insights from 250 insurance professionals across 25 countries, providing a snapshot of how the industry views AI-related governance, liability and directors and officers (D&O) insurance challenges.   The results reveal a strong consensus around governance: • 94% of respondents agree boards should approve internal policies governing AI use. • 97% agree AI governance should be embedded within broader corporate governance frameworks. • 94% believe poor AI governance increases the likelihood of D&O-related claims. Meanwhile: • 86% expect AI-related regulatory, shareholder and operational claims to significantly affect the D&O loss environment moving forward. • Around 80% of respondents expect D&O underwriters to request additional information on applicants’ AI risks and governance practices.   When it comes to insurance coverage, views are less aligned. While 56% of respondents believe D&O policies will need to be amended to address emerging AI exposures, 44% disagree, highlighting an ongoing debate about whether AI represents a fundamentally new risk or another business risk that can be managed within existing frameworks.   As organizations accelerate AI adoption, the findings suggest that robust oversight, transparency and governance will be critical to maintaining resilience and managing liability exposures.   🔗 Read the full article here: https://ow.ly/glgT50Zwqso   The D&O Diary   #ArtificialIntelligence #AIGovernance #DirectorsAndOfficersInsurance #AllianzCommercial

  • AI is reshaping the global economy, but behind every breakthrough sits a physical infrastructure challenge.   As investment in data centers accelerates, so does the scale of risk. Today's facilities are larger, more complex and more critical than ever before. A wide range of claims can arise from both the construction and operational stages of a data center. These might include damage to servers from improperly secured equipment during transit, or the theft of materials from temporary storage, construction sites, or in transit. Claims can also stem from faulty workmanship, faulty design, construction defects, while issues can arise during testing and commissioning. Once a data center is operational, claims can result from power outages or surges, thermal runaways, and fire. Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) and chiller malfunctions, as well as cyber-attacks are increasing. Natural catastrophe risk extends across the entire data center value chain.   In this Q&A, Christian Kolbe, Global Head of Construction Claims at Allianz Commercial, shares lessons from claims trends and explains why resilience must be designed into data centers from the very beginning.   🔗 Explore Claims at Allianz Commercial: https://ow.ly/egJa50ZvGCm   Christian Kolbe #AllianzCommercial #DataCenters #ConstructionRisk #AIInfrastructure

  • As risks become more complex and interconnected, claims are no longer just about financial recovery. They are about helping organizations navigate uncertainty, maintain business continuity, and manage volatility over the long term.   Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) claims span a wide spectrum of complexity, from severe liability and professional indemnity losses, directors and officers (D&O) claims, marine casualties and property damage events, to trade credit defaults, natural catastrophe losses, and cyber incidents, all delivered through global captive fronting arrangements, structured multi-year, multi-line and blended solutions.   Addressing these losses requires a bespoke approach, one that combines technical insurance expertise, financial analysis, legal insight, coordinated claims management and deep understanding of the underlying risk policy structure. At Allianz Commercial, more than 15 ART claims experts operating across 5 locations, supported by a wider network of over 600 claims professionals, bring together this expertise to manage complex ART losses globally.   When a loss is notified, dedicated ART claims experts assess the specific policy structure and determine the appropriate handling approach. The claim is then managed either directly by the ART team or by specialist claims colleagues from across the Allianz Commercial claims network, coordinating with legal teams, loss adjusters, third party administrators (TPAs), captives and insured representatives to determine coverage, quantify the loss and manage the claim through to resolution.   The examples in the carousel illustrate the breadth of ART claims and how bespoke risk solutions help organizations respond to some of today's most complex challenges 👉   🔗 Explore Claims at Allianz Commercial: https://ow.ly/x4hE50Zu8Zk   #AlternativeRiskTransfer #RiskManagement #AllianzCommercial #ART

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) has moved rapidly from emerging technology to a boardroom priority. According to the Allianz Risk Barometer, AI rose from 10th place globally in 2025 to 2nd place in 2026, the largest increase of any risk category. Yet from a claims perspective, the picture is still developing: confirmed AI-related losses remain limited today, while a much larger grey area is building beneath the surface.    💡 In the latest issue of The Risk Radar, we look at how AI is changing the claims landscape, why losses may lag behind adoption, and what businesses can do to better understand, manage and transfer AI-related risks. #AllianzCommercial #TheRiskRadar #AIClaims #AIInsurance

  • Artificial intelligence has rapidly moved up the corporate risk agenda, ranking as the #2 risk in the 2026 Allianz Risk Barometer. Yet from a claims perspective, the picture remains relatively calm, at least on the surface.   The challenge? Many AI-related incidents sit in a "grey area" where AI involvement is highly likely but difficult to prove. At the same time, AI is already amplifying risks across cyber, liability, D&O and fraud, often acting as a force multiplier rather than the direct cause of loss.   As organizations embed AI into more business processes, understanding how these risks evolve, and how they may translate into future claims becomes increasingly important.   In our latest Q&A, Michael Daum, Head of AI Claims Center of Excellence at Allianz Commercial, shares his perspective on why current claims data may not tell the full story, where AI-related losses are already emerging and what businesses should focus on today. Swipe through for key insights 👉   💡Read the full interview with Michael: https://ow.ly/B76l50Zt2Uz 🔗 Explore Claims at Allianz Commercial: https://ow.ly/4kHq50Zt2Tz   Michael Daum   #AllianzCommercial #Claims #AI #AIClaims
