#Airtable selected me as one of the first testers of their new AI app builder called Canvas. Took me literally 4 minutes to turn an Airtable database I had into a beautiful app I can share with my customers right away (see the video below). Some of you will think: "But, Vykintas, I've seen way more impressive apps developed with Claude Code or other AI vibe-coding platforms..." And you'll be correct. You can build nearly anything with the power tools like #Claude Code, however, will it be easy? I always teach my students that "Vibe-coding is accessible. Not easy". Anyone can now develop applications without special education but - if you want to go beyond prototypes and release business grade apps - it will still take a significant amount of effort and time. Therefore, I often still prefer using no-code tools like Airtable with their built-in AI capabilities over the new more flexible AI tools. While established players like #Airtable take care of the security & scalability... I can just focus on building my apps. #AirtableMVP #AirtableSummerCamp

I'm excited to share the next set of features we've shipped in Airtable core product. Over the past several weeks we have launched: ‣ Timeline nesting: nest records inside other records in Timeline view, up to 7 levels deep ‣ Reschedule dependent records: when a date moves, only the work after it shifts. What you've already finished stays where it is ‣ Default dependency type & buffer: set them once for a table instead of configuring every link by hand ‣ Date dependencies in record templates: templates now carry their dependency types and buffers, so a new project starts fully wired ‣ Date dependency API: read and WRITE dependency type and buffer through the public API All of it is aimed at making Airtable a stronger home for strategic portfolio management. If you manage projects with dependencies, I think this set will save you real time. Day 1 of #AirtableSummerCamp shipped the MCP server. Vykintas Glodenis already used it to build his whole curriculum into a base, and posted the highest AI training score in Mindvalley history. 👏
Most people think of #Claude MCPs (Connectors) just as a way for your AI agent to find relevant context across the tools your company uses... however, MCPs actually enable your AI agents to take action across your apps and deliver results. Here's an example of #Claude creating a beautiful #Airtable app with curriculum resources for my students. Claude - using the #Airtable MCP (Connector) - created a database/app with all the required tables and fields... then read hundreds of pages of raw content from AI Mastery curriculum and filled in the database with structured knowledge. Finally, my students could just duplicate this database to their own Airtable accounts and start owning (and building on top of) this data to develop their own applied AI stacks. As a result, after I shared this resource, AI Mastery customers rewarded me with the highest ever AI training score in #Mindvalley history. #workSmart #AirtableMVP #AirtableSummerCamp

I just got back from vacation, but we know summer isn't over quite yet. On Day 2 of Airtable Summer Camp we challenged my team to not log into Airtable UI today. Yet, everything still got done. This one is for everyone who is using what your team has already built in Airtable. Teammates can now file structured work through forms and ask questions about everything in Airtable, straight from Claude or ChatGPT. It doesn't matter if they’re a builder who's deep in the data layer, or running only on interfaces. As always, it's buddy-system permissions.
