Happy #NationalSonsAndDaughtersDay! 👨👩👧👦We’re excited to spotlight an inspiring Airgas family trio: Drake Obrenic, North Division Office Mailroom Coordinator, and his children, Kristina Kassabri, Vice President of Business Process Improvement at Airgas Dry Ice, and Nikola Obrenic (Nik), our Assistant Plant Manager in Cleveland. Their Airgas journey originally began with mom, Ranka, who was the ultimate trendsetter for the family and joined the Airgas Finance team in 2007. Her positive experience inspired Kristina to launch her professional career with us in 2010 as an Accountant in our Great Lakes Region. Eleven years later, Kristina convinced her father, Drake, to apply for his role, and together the family eventually got Nik to jump on board after years of encouragement. Today, their daily work spans essential office mail services, leading dry ice operations, and cylinder fill plant operations. Together, they play a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly while supporting critical customer needs. For the Obrenic-Kassabri family, Airgas feels like an extension of home because the workplace dynamic so closely mirrors their own family. They thrive in an environment built on mutual support, where colleagues actively listen to one another, put egos aside to solve problems, and continuously challenge each other to learn and improve. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Joe Morales, our Bensalem, Pennsylvania Branch Manager, who recently demonstrated what it truly means to go above and beyond for our neighbors. When a disoriented and confused community member wandered into the Bensalem branch, Joe and his team immediately stepped in to help, getting the individual something to drink and finding them a safe place to sit in our store. Joe carefully helped this individual find a family member’s contact information in their phone and saw to it that this person was brought safely home. Joe’s quick thinking and genuine kindness remind us that at the heart of our busy workdays, treating people with dignity is one of the most important jobs we have. As a second-generation Airgas associate whose father dedicated 51 years of service to the company, this deep-rooted commitment to community and service is a proud family tradition for Joe.
