I'm excited to share that I have joined AIM Intelligent Machines as Senior Vice President of Engineering. In this role, I am focused on building and scaling AIM’s product and technology portfolio in the rapidly expanding physical AI market. I look forward to working with customers, partners, and the talented teams across AIM to help drive tangible solutions to solve complex customer challenges and create business impact at scale. Literally everything we build or grow begins with earthmoving as the first step. Food we eat, homes we live in, cars we drive and even the devices we use every day all single handedly depend on earthmoving at scale yet this industry has surprisingly changed very little. Everything comes out of the ground and we’re at a re-defining and a key inflection point in physical AI where AI is reshaping how infrastructure we all depend on gets built. AIM turns existing heavy equipment into autonomous fleets and gives customers an operating system for site-wide visibility, safety, and round-the-clock productivity. The opportunity is for one operator to manage an entire site, overseeing fleets of machines working autonomously, continuously, and safely, even in the harshest environments. This is what makes AIM’s mission so compelling to me as it truly will shape how we build. The opportunity to help lead product development at AIM, an organization with a remarkable focus on driving customer value with strong focus on innovation is incredibly inspiring. One of the reasons I am so excited about this next chapter is the incredible momentum the company has right now. The machines you see in the video below are real machines, powered by AIM technology, doing real production work in real operating environments today delivering customer value every day. I’ve spent much of my career leading product development and launching products in the heavy commercial vehicles space and am excited to lead this next frontier of autonomous earthmovers. I also want to thank the team at Apptronik for incredibly rewarding years working on cutting-edge humanoid development during a formative stage of growth. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a talented team and to be part of a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and impact. It was a privilege to work alongside such a talented group developing innovative general purpose humanoids for manufacturing and logistics applications. I’m forever grateful to have had the opportunity to build, fail, learn, and celebrate alongside the best roboticists in the world. Looking forward to this next chapter and reconnecting with many friends and colleagues across the heavy machinery industry. We are actively scaling, and I am looking to connect with top talent who want to build something great with us. Komatsu has announced a partnership with AIM to bring full autonomy to bulldozers and excavators, with pathways for both factory-fit and retrofit deployment. This is an important step beyond autonomous haulage. Ground-engaging machines perform the work that shapes and moves material. Bringing production autonomy to these machines can help customers improve safety, uptime, utilization, consistency, and site visibility, while making more productive use of the fleets and operator expertise they already have. We are proud to work with Komatsu to help change how earthmoving fleets are managed and how work gets done across mining and heavy construction. Today, I’m excited to share that I’ve joined AIM Intelligent Machines as Chief Marketing Officer. I’ve tried to make each major career decision by asking myself where I can put my strengths to their best use and have the greatest positive impact on society through technology. AIM made that decision unusually clear. Everything we build or grow begins with moving material. Roads, buildings, utility lines, food, and even the devices we use every day all depend on moving earth at scale. Yet earthmoving has changed surprisingly little. Skilled operators are essential, but there are too few of them, and too many still work in dangerous conditions. AIM is already changing that. Autonomous factories without walls. What makes this opportunity particularly compelling to me is that this isn’t a future vision or a science experiment. The machines you see in the video below are real machines, powered by AIM technology, doing real production work in real operating environments today. I’ve spent much of my career helping frontier technologies become understandable, credible, and consequential, from Microsoft Surface and HoloLens to physical AI, humanoids, and robotics. At AIM, the unusual opportunity is that the technology, customers, deployments, and proof already exist. My job now is to help the company’s external presence catch up with what the team has built, define and lead the market emerging around it, and help more people understand why this work matters. I’m incredibly grateful to Adam Sadilek and the entire AIM team for the opportunity and trust. I’m excited about what we’re going to build together. And we’re growing. For those in my network who work across AI, software, robotics, hardware, engineering, field operations, or other parts of the business, particularly here in the greater Seattle area, I’d encourage you to take a look at AIM Intelligent Machines’ open roles on LinkedIn:https://lnkd.in/gbNMpXAs. There are some extraordinary problems to solve, and we’re looking for extraordinary people to help solve them. Watch the video below, and you’ll understand why I joined. Before humanity can build almost anything, somebody has to move earth. GeekWire recently spent time with AIM founder and CEO Adam Sadilek at our Redmond headquarters to see how we're applying physical AI to one of the world's oldest and most fundamental industries. Autonomy in earthmoving presents a very different challenge from autonomy on the road. A bulldozer or excavator doesn't simply navigate its environment. Its job is to change it. AIM transforms existing heavy equipment into autonomous fleets capable of doing real production work in dynamic terrain and difficult environments, while helping move people out of hazardous operating zones. And while the work is happening today across mining, construction and defense, Adam's long-term vision goes much further. First, transform how we move earth here. Then, one day, perhaps somewhere else entirely. Great profile from GeekWire on what we're building at AIM and where we're headed. https://lnkd.in/gffBxpuH #PhysicalAI #Autonomy #Earthmoving

Everything comes out of the ground. Our world is made of minerals, concrete, ground shaped for infrastructure: homes, roads, datacenters, supply chains, utilities, defense… We have built AIM to turbocharge that first mile. Inquire within to join terraforming with physical AI.

Your breakfast began with a mechanical push half a world away. Let’s unroll that fact. A single mine site in Africa manages 70% of the world’s phosphate reserves. It enables modern agriculture by providing the essential molecules for fertilizer - the silent engine of global food security. This is the "Link Zero" of the human supply chain: a bulldozer moving the minerals that eventually become your cereal, your dinner, our survival, perhaps even abundance. If this link fails, the world goes hungry. That is why AIM is automating the key first miles. We turn these massive machines into autonomous mining fleets powered by physical AI. The machines hold the line between a full harvest and a failed one. The global supply chain is close to an invisible miracle. We are making it persistent and resilient.

Everything comes out of the ground. Our world is made of minerals, concrete, ground shaped for infrastructure: homes, roads, datacenters, supply chains, utilities, defense… Everything from your breakfast today to the device you are reading this on to the copper in your GPU requires a key primitive: molecules of earth have to move for any of those objects to exist. AIM is the physical AI platform that moves those molecules autonomously, at scale, reliably, in brutal conditions, every day. We are on an exponential scale ramp across all levels of the business and are hiring across disciplines: from embodied AI to firmware to COO to hardware eng to account management to forward deploy… As fullstack as it gets! If you find terraforming Earth with physical AI deployed in production more meaningful than building robots doing backflips, folding towels, or even just driving cars – let’s talk. Remember even all those robots had to come out of the ground and many of their molecules were made possible because of the machines we have automated. Built by operators across mining, construction, Google, SpaceX, Waymo, Navy SEALs, Amazon, Tesla, AIM enables scalable earthmoving, turbocharging the global economy’s physical foundation. We are backed by some of the most sophisticated capital in the world, including General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, Elad Gil, HUMAN CAPITAL, Ironspring Ventures, Mantis Venture Capital, MVP Ventures, Qasar Younis, DCVC.

Operators aren’t being replaced. Their impact is being expanded. Instead of focusing on a single machine, experienced operators can now oversee entire fleets, optimizing performance, improving utilization, and making real-time decisions across a site. With one operator overseeing multiple machines, teams can increase output while reducing exposure to on-site risk. The result is a shift in how work gets done: • Safer operations • Higher-value roles • More consistent, scalable performance This is what next-generation operations look like. We break this down further in our latest white paper. Link in comments.  https://lnkd.in/gRpb5BdT

Autonomy isn’t coming. It’s already delivering. More output. Less fuel. More efficient operations. That’s what early deployments are already showing. For a six-machine fleet running continuously, that can translate to $6.1M in annual net savings. This isn’t theory. It’s already happening. Read more via our white paper in the comments.
