Have you heard about China’s door handle requirements that are being implemented in January 2027? It’s a big change, but it doesn’t mean you have to start from scratch. A modular handle architecture, like the ones we can design at ADAC, presents a smarter path forward. Our modular handle design capabilities mean we can offer scalable solutions across multiple platforms and trim levels - one that doesn't require an entirely new handle for every single market. The right design can meet China’s requirements while also readying you for the global market. Scalable solutions with a common core keep efficiency in check. And that’s what we’re all about in our 45-minute working sessions. We’ll cover modular architecture alongside China spec requirements, mechanical execution, lighting and more. All in one session. ADAC’s acquisition of EBW Electronics was named Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year at the 17th Annual International M&A Awards, a very proud moment for our team and partners at Calder Capital. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Calder Capital is proud to share that ADAC’s acquisition of EBW Electronics has been named Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year in the 17th Annual International M&A Awards. Calder served as the exclusive Buy-Side Advisor to ADAC in its acquisition of EBW Electronics, a Holland, Michigan-based electronics manufacturing company. Although both ADAC and EBW have deep West Michigan roots, the transaction was recognized on an international stage because of ADAC’s broader global platform, which includes operations across Michigan, Texas, Mexico, and Brazil, while and serving OEM customers around the world. Congratulations to ADAC, EBW Electronics, Patrick R., Hannah Nabhan, Alex Flechsig, and the entire Calder Buy-Side team on this international recognition! 👉 Read the full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gWx_iztZ #MergersAndAcquisitions #InvestmentBanking #Manufacturing #WestMichigan #TheMAAdvisor

In an emergency, drivers and responders need to be able to open the vehicle door, quickly. And it’s about to be mandated by law in China. That’s why lighting execution is part of the readiness conversation every OEM team needs to be having right now. There’s no single right answer, so understanding where you are and where you need to be is paramount. In our 45-minute working session, we’ll cover these spec requirements, as well as mechanical execution modular design and overall program readiness, so you can approach the January 2027 date with confidence and readiness that sets your program up not just for clearance, but for success. What do you get in a 45-minute session with one of our engineers? Specs. Solution paths. And a clear picture of what readiness looks like before China’s new door handle requirements are implemented in January 2027. Additionally, we’ll cover: Mechanical execution paths for power loss and access in an emergency. Modular architecture that works across platforms and trim levels. Where your current portfolio sits against requirements. It’s a working session, so we’ll talk through where you’re positioned currently as well as what your options are so that you can move with confidence towards 2027. In the event of power loss, your door handle still needs to work. That’s the focus of China’s new door handle requirements. In other words, in instances of system failure or emergency conditions, you must have a mechanical backup. Drivers need to be able to get in and out of their vehicles safely. Getting there means understanding how your electronic and mechanical systems interact, what the safety requirements are, and what packaging constraints you’re working within. ADAC is here to help. We’ll cover all of these key areas in our 45 minute working session; alongside China spec requirements, lighting, modular architecture, and where your handle stands today. January 2027. That's when new handle requirements mandating safe exits without power in China take effect. And adoption is only going to become more widespread from there. Euro NCAP has been released. NHTSA is expected to move in North America this year. The window to get ahead of this is open, but it won't stay that way. Now is the time to get the ball rolling. The spec is deceptively simple: make sure people can get out of their vehicles, and first responders can get in, even in the event of power loss. The engineering is a different story. It takes time and know-how to bring a solution to life. If your team is ready to get ahead of the changes, start with this question: How do the electronic and mechanical systems look for your program? Head over to our site to learn more and schedule a working session: https://lnkd.in/gv9RViHM.
