By transitioning production to 3D Systems Corporation's Figure 4® and PSLA 270 3D printing platforms, Wraith Systems re-engineered its manufacturing workflow around additive production rather than manual assembly. Where speed, repeatability, and design flexibility directly influence manufacturing metrics, the operational results were significant: • 7.5× increase in monthly production capacity • Production increased from 6–10 systems to 65–75 systems per month • 92% reduction in post-processing labor • $483,735 in production cost savings on a single manufacturing program By consolidating complex geometries into printed components, Wraith Systems reduced assembly operations, eliminated multiple secondary manufacturing steps, and enabled digital design revisions without the tooling costs or lead times associated with conventional manufacturing methods.
