Keith Giffen entered the field of comics in the 1970s, contributing to Marvel's black and white titles. He became a fan favorite when he became a regular artist of 'The Defenders'. He is best-known for illustrating and later writing the futuristic superhero comic 'Legion of Super-Heroes' in the 1980s and 1990s, and for co-creating the humorous, international version of the Justice League in the late 1980s. Together with Roger Slifer, he is also co-creator of the alien mercenary 'Lobo'. Giffen has also worked on the 'Aquaman' mini-series, as well as the 'Ragman' and 'Creeper' series. Other works include 'All-Star Comics', 'Ambush Bug', 'Trencher', 'The Heckler', 'Dr Fate' and 'T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents'.
