Catlett will star alongside previously announced series lead Linda Cardellini, who will play Pamela Voorhees. Catlett will star as Levon Brooks, though exact character details remain under wraps. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Hacks Season 4, Episode 10, “Heaven.”] After Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) gave up her dream to defend her comedic integrity and head writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), Hacks‘ Season 4 finale explores the aftermath. When your dream dies, what’s to do next? Go to “Heaven,” of course. In the episode, Deborah returned to Las Vegas for some solitude, but when she was called to help old flame Marty (Christopher McDonald) pick out a suit, he suggested she take a trip to Hawaii, where he owns a hotel, for a brief respite. Deborah seemingly took up Marty’s offer and invited Ava to join her, but upon landing, it was revealed that Deborah had the plan rerouted to Singapore. [The following post contains Major spoilers for the Thursday, May 29, episode of Jeopardy!] A Jeopardy! contestant revealed his dreams of being on a different show that involved baking and not trivia. But, did the contestant win anyway? Read on to find out. Thomas Sweeney, from Morrow, Ohio, returned for his second game on Thursday, May 29. He ended his first with a final total of $16,401 after an “easy” Final Jeopardy question put him on top. The reigning champion faced off against Anne Lagatta, from Moorestown, New Jersey, and Geoff Barnes, from Washington D.C. Barnes, an analyst, dominated the first part of the round by answering the first three questions correctly. The next four were triple stumpers. Lagatta, a college professor, then answered the next few clues, but her luck turned when she got one wrong, putting her in the negative. The same happened to Sweeney, a survey technician. Barnes found the first Daily Double of the game on clue 12. He ...

Editor’s Note: The following story contains some spoilers for “Poker Face” Season 2, Episode 6.
Season 2, Episode 6 is not your typical episode of “Poker Face.” Charlie (Natasha Lyonne) has been working as lunch lady at a local elementary school, where she meets the terrifying Stephanie (Eva Jade Halford), a student whose ambition compels her to humiliate one of her peers and indirectly kill the class pet.
It’s a demanding role even on paper, and one brought to life superbly by the 12-year-old Halford (the episode premiered on her birthday), who goes toe to toe with Lyonne, Margo Martindale, and Adrienne C. Moore throughout the episode. It’s enough to shake a seasoned pro — but Halford is already on her way to being just that, having just wrapped “The Last Day” with Alicia Vikander, Victoria Pedretti, and Wagner Moura, from first-time feature director Rachel Rose. Television fans were getting into the thick of it on Thursday (May 29) when discussing the shows they loved that let them down in the final seasons. In a Reddit discussion, commenters weighed in with their picks for the TV series that dropped the ball on the home stretch the most, and while some of the answers were pretty obvious, others weren’t quite as widely maligned. The prompt for the exchange came when the original poster asked, “What shows betray its audience with its final season?” That wasn’t the first (and surely won’t be the last) discussion of this subject on the discussion board site. Less than a year ago, thousands of Redditors hit the comments of a similar thread to share their picks for the shows with the worst final seasons. So which shows were among the most disappointing, according to these TV fans? The Umbrella Academy...

“S.W.A.T.” star David Lim is voicing his disappointment that a spinoff is moving forward without involving him or most of his castmates.
It’s been a rocky road over the past few years for the law enforcement drama. CBS canceled “S.W.A.T.” after six seasons in 2023, but following an uproar from fans, reversed the decision and renewed the series for a seventh season. After Season 7 began airing, the network decided to extend it one more time before a final cancellation after Season 8. When Reba McEntire returned to television last year as the star and executive producer of NBC’s “Happy’s Place,” fans of the singer and actress were delighted to find that the comedy contained the same blend of humor and heart that characterized “Reba,” McEntire’s beloved sitcom that ran from 2001 to 2007. It’s no coincidence that the new series, in which Reba’s character Bobbie McAllister inherits her father’s bar and is forced to run it alongside the half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew existed, has retained the earlier show’s strengths — not only was it co-created by “Reba” showrunner Kevin Abbott, it actually began life as a potential “Reba” reboot.

Nathan Fielder has no time to argue with the Federal Aviation Administration over commercial airline safety: He already had his mic drop moment during the second season of his hit HBO series “The Rehearsal.”
Fielder, who is the star, writer, director, and executive producer of the series, spent two years training to become a licensed commercial pilot type-rated to fly a 737. During the Season 2 finale, Fielder flew an actual 737 filled with 150 actors. (IndieWire has an explainer about just how Fielder was able to pull that off.)
However, the Faa had more to say about Fielder’s season-long arc about co-pilots not properly communicating with captains in the cockpit, in part leading to safety concerns in the air. The Faa issued a statement to CNN, which read, “The Federal Aviation Administration requires all airline crew members (pilots and flight attendants) and dispatchers to complete Crew Resource Management training.”

The father-son duo attended a Seattle Mariners game in their hometown and fans were shocked at how different his son looked. “The lucky Mariners earrings might be heading for an 0-1 start,” Ken Jennings captioned his post on Wednesday, May 28. The photo, taken by the Jeopardy! host, featured Ken and Dylan in Mariners jerseys and hats standing at their seats a T-Mobile Park. Dylan wore dangly Mariners’ earrings under a small gold post. He had long curly hair and sported a scraggly beard. This was a completely different look for him compared to the last photo Ken Jennings shared of Dylan three years ago at a baseball game, where he had shoulder-length hair and no earrings. “Wicked cool earrings,” a follower commented. Many fans asked “Who is that?” as Dylan looked very grown up.

Nielsen’s list of the most watched shows in total viewers and among adults 18-49 for the 2024-2025 season, with 35 days of linear and streaming viewing, is out, and it proves, at least when it comes to those on the former list, that bringing in viewers doesn’t mean a show will remain on the air. Eleven canceled shows and one still in limbo shows make the list among total viewers. Blue Bloods, which ended after 14 seasons in December 2024, is the first to show up, at number 38. Other canceled shows on the list are four more CBS dramas, 9-1-1: Lone Star (69), two NBC shows (The Irrational at 82 and Found at 90), two Prime Video series (The Bondsman at 90 and On Call at 94), and The Conners (96). There are three Dick Wolf shows. ABC has yet to make a decision about Doctor Odyssey. The latest from ...

Amid Juveria Zaheer‘s run on Jeopardy! Masters, the cast list for Season 50 of Survivor was officially released, featuring contestants who have all played the game before. That meant there was an opportunity for Juveria’s brother, Omar Zaheer, to return to the beach in Fiji for another shot at $1 million. Although fans were hoping Omar would get selected in the casting process, he was ultimately not chosen as one of the 24 castaways for Season 50, and Juveria reacted to the news on X. “Would have loved to have seen the little bro cause chaos on the beach again!” she wrote. Omar last played Survivor during Season 42 in 2022. He finished the game in sixth place and became a fan-favorite contestant. At final tribal council, he casted one of the seven votes for winner Maryanne Oketch, who beat Mike Turner and Romeo Escobar in a 7-1-0 vote (Turner received one vote from Jonathan Young,...

Now that we all know how The Handmaid’s Tale ends and June’s story begins, it’s time to turn our attention to a slightly less important — yet nevertheless pressing — question: Didn’t it seem like Serena Joy and Mark Tuello kinda had a slight thing for each other?
On its face, the idea is ridiculous. Serena, played by Yvonne Strahovski, was the ur-tradwife, a religious conservative whose quest for power was instrumental in replacing the United States of America with the hypocritical patriarchy of Gilead. Meanwhile Tuello, a high-ranking American military commander played by Sam Jaeger, spent his tenure...

‘Mad Men’ Director Jennifer Getzinger: Ask for What You Want and Ask Again | ‘What No One Tells You’

Faith can be hard to attain when you’re working in the entertainment industry. On the one hand, it’s all there is to work off of, whether you’re a nobody or a long-established player trying to keep in the mix. But with AI on the rise and jobs continuing to remain scarce, one starts to wonder what’s even worth believing in. The answer? Yourself.
During the latest episode of “What No One Tells You,” television director Jennifer Getzinger discussed her leap from script supervisor to director and how it only came about because of her own tenacity. For year, Getzinger worked as a script supervisor on shows like “Strangers with Candy,” “The Sopranos,” and “Sex and the City.” Later, “Mad Men” creator and showrunner Matthew Weiner brought Getzinger onto the project as script supervisor for the pilot, which was shot in New York. What is… walking down the aisle soon? On the Wednesday, May 28, episode of Jeopardy! Masters, Isaac Hirsch revealed what he plans to do with his winnings — buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Hirsch, a customer support team lead, shared that his girlfriend, Victoria Gould, helped him prepare for Masters, and in return, he is going to buy her a ring. “Isaac Hirsch has made it to the semi-finals,” host Ken Jennings said. “Which means no matter what happens in his round, you’re guaranteed a pretty good-sized prize. And I understand you’ve thought about what you want to do with that.” “I hear engagement rings are expensive,” Hirsch said. “Honestly, I’ve been thinking about it for a while and the discussion has always been, ‘After this Jeopardy! thing, we’re going to go out and do it’, and then there’s another Jeopardy! thing, and then more.

Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson‘s family will be at the forefront of Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which has given the couple, their six children, and several grandchildren the opportunity to bond like never before. However, not everybody was immediately onboard to start letting cameras into their lives eight years after the finale of the original Duck Dynasty. “Everyone kind of came at it differently,” Korie tells TV Insider. “Our younger kids just remember all the fun. Will [Robertson] and Bella [Robertson], they were young enough that it was just all fun. They got to be with their cousins all the time. John Luke [Robertson] and Sadie [Robertson] were a little older. It was their teen years when this was happening. So they definitely experienced maybe a little bit more of the hard sides of fame as teenagers.” While it “took them a minute to really think it through,” John Luke and Sadie eventually agreed.

As if he didn’t already stick the landing, in more ways than one, with Sunday’s daring finale of The Rehearsal, comedian Nathan Fielder then took his signature dry wit to CNN’s The Situation Room on Thursday (May 29). The interview was ostensibly scheduled for him to discuss the topic of airline safety — particularly, how his HBO Max series exposes a hidden danger in the current regulations — but Fielder’s deadpan approach sparked quite a reaction from viewers. Fielder’s fans had a field day over the 17-minute sitdown with anchors Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown, which seemed to leave Blitzer somewhat bamboozled. Fielder was joined for the interview by John Goglia, the former member of the National Transportation Safety Board who appeared in the HBO Max series, to discuss The Rehearsal Season 2’s central premise that communication issues between pilots can be a factor in airline crashes. At first,...

It’s become a bit of a cliché to say “broadcast’s back,” since, of course, it never really left. Just ask the fans of “NCIS,” “Law & Order: Svu” or “Grey’s Anatomy,” shows that have been on the air for decades — and launched when Netflix was only known for mailing DVDs to your house.
But there’s also some truth to this year’s network TV rebirth. This was a strong season for the traditional linear outlets — two of the most-watched new shows, period, were ABC’s “High Potential” and CBS’ “Matlock.” And the third-most-watched program overall was the Eye’s “Tracker,...

The Season 33 finale of Dancing With the Stars featured longtime friends Derek Hough and Mark Ballas collaborating on an Argentine Tango, leading to speculation that Season 34 could feature a male celebrity dancing with a male pro. This would follow suit with the Season 30 all-female pairing of Jenna Johnson and JoJo Siwa. “I would say we are constantly looking at the ways by which we can push the envelope and produce a show that reflects and represents society as a whole,” executive producer Ryan O’Dowd told Deadline. “So I wouldn’t rule it out. In 1982, seven people in Chicago died completely unexpectedly. The common thread that tied their mysterious deaths shocked the nation: They’d all taken Tylenol laced with cyanide. News of the circulation of these lethal Tylenol capsules sparked a panic across the country and one of the largest criminal investigations in US history.
The three-part documentary series Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders is the latest installment in the Cold Case franchise. The Tylenol Murders reexamines the case that turned the ubiquitous over-the-counter drug into a murderous threat — and fundamentally called into question the blind faith many have in the world’s most trusted brands.
