A Mischief of Rats: Sculpture Trail

45 rat sculptures are on public display in Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding between 3 May and 31 August 2025. A group of rats is called a mischief. Inspiration for the project comes from the 1970s band from Kingston upon Hull, The Rats, three members of which went on to form David Bowies Spiders from Mars. Funds raised from the auction sale of the sculptures will go to the Daisy Appeal, a charity based at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham. For further information go to the online guide: LinkExternal link There is also an app and a printed booklet, the latter being available from libraries and TICs. All 45 sculptures were on display at Prince's Quay Shopping Centre, 13 to 19 September 2025, prior to the Grand Charity Auction on 20 September 2025.
