Sea foam created in the agitated water of the surf zone, Eastbourne
Sea foam containing dissolved organic matter is created in the surf zone of pounding white water as the breakers topple in the shallow water of the shore. In the photo, some of the frothy sea foam can be seen on the splashing waves as they churn the water near the foot of Groyne 28, while other fragments have become airborne in the onshore breeze.
