When Marsh Lane Bridge across the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal was closed to traffic (can someone tell us what year that was?) Pendeford Lane west of the canal became redundant and was also downgraded to the status of bridleway. This is what remains, passing through pleasant parkland about two hundred metres north-north-west of the bridge. Careful examination of the surface reveals evidence of the broken white centre lines on the former road.
