The footbridge crosses the busy King Street, currently in chaos as the new Midland Metro line is built alongside it. The 1969 sculpture 'Family Group' by Edward Bainbridge Copnall can be seen on the walkway; it was carved from a single piece of oak from the sculptor's garden.
