The Kitlings, 21 School Lane, Appleby
Grade II Listed house of the early 18th century. It was built about 1703 and has since been extended in the 19th century to add chimney stacks to each end of the house. It has a 1970s rear extension. (Kitling - from Old Norse ketlingr, any young animal, especially a kitten).
