Fawley Hill Railway - Signal Box interior
Fawley Hill Railway - Signal Box interior
Interior of the signal box. This box is a Midland Railway (MR) one and has the typical MR triangular fillets in the upper panes of the windows. The lever frame is also of MR design; the interlocking between the levers is under the black covers behind the levers and works on the lever catch-handles rather than the actual levers. This makes for a compact system. (See TL1506 : St Albans South signal box - interior after restoration for a rather larger MR signal box interior.)
