Old Boundary Marker west of Kilmar Tor
Quarry Boundary Marker in the valley to the west of Kilmar Tor adjacent to the boundary wall surrounding Trewortha Farm 260 metres south of the gateway leading to Trewortha Farm. North Hill parish.
Inscribed BSK 7. In 1864 the Freeman brothers, William and John, were granted a new lease to cut and quarry granite from the area around Kilmar Tor, Bearah Tor and Sharp Tor. This area was to be defined by six bound stones on the northern and western side (Originally numbered 1 to 6, but later, presumably, after No. 5 was lost into the bog on the western boundary of Trewortha Farm, stones numbered 7 and 8 were added as replacements. No.8 has subsequently suffered a similar fate to No. 5, and is now missing). The southern and eastern boundaries follow the walled enclosed farmland to the south and east of the Tors. Stones numbered BSK 1 to 3, 6 and 7 are well cut granite posts, and BSK 4 shares the boundary stone 10 RIL 1846.
