Much progress has been made in recent years in restoring this signal box - see http://www.chinnorrailway.co.uk/article.php/111/sir-william-mcalpine-r e-opens-princes-risborough-landmark and other news items about the work being undertaken to enable the preserved railway to reuse a platform at the station. This will enable cross-platform transfer for those visiting the railway by using Chiltern Railway services, and for the eventual visits by special trains direct onto the preserved line's track. The signal box will be used to operate the preserved railway's facilities at the station once they are completed.
