Rhiwsaeson
I can't really tell you much about this small hamlet situated about a mile from the A473 at Cross Inn. The bridge carried a line built by the Taff Vale Railway to carry coal. No regular passenger service was run. My son states that Rhiwsaeson can be translated as "Hill of Englishmen" but I'm told Saxons' Hill is the more usual translation.
