A Victorian postbox (LL30 3D) of the hexagonal Penfold design. In the background on the promenade is Simon Hedger's Mad Hatter SH7882 : The Mad Hatter on the Promenade.
Penfold Pillar Box

Penfold Pillar Boxes are named after the designer JW Penfold. They are made from cast-iron, and are a hexagonal shaped letter box made from 1866 to 1879. They were manufactured by Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley.
