SU4603 : Fawley Wood, wasteland

taken 10 years ago, near to Fawley, Hampshire, England

Fawley Wood, wasteland
Fawley Wood, wasteland
A large expanse of wasteland - concrete hardstanding and tarmac, being gradually overcome by scrub. My first thought - associated with the power station (chimney visible in the distance) - but, no, apparently once an army embarkation camp for D-Day in WWII.
