The Royal Oak Hotel was a coaching inn for a couple of centuries. The current building dates from about 1861, when the hotel was expanded to meet growing numbers of visitors to the area. The hotel�s former stable block now houses a tourist information centre, craft workshops and offices for Snowdonia wardens.
