Victorian Penfold pillar box on Cheltenham's Lansdown Road. This is one eight surviving Penfold pillar boxes in Cheltenham, all eight are still in use.
Penfold Pillar Box

Penfold Pillar Boxes are named after the designer JW Penfold. They are made from cast-iron, and are a hexagonal shaped letter box made from 1866 to 1879. They were manufactured by Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley.
