Victorian pillar box
A green Victorian Penfold pillar box situated outside the museum in Brecon. Presumably it is green because this the colour post boxes were painted originally.
Penfold Pillar Box

Penfold Pillar Boxes are named after the designer JW Penfold. They are made from cast-iron, and are a hexagonal shaped letter box made from 1866 to 1879. They were manufactured by Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley.
